Wow. I read the posts and checked Puke's blog; it is a truly sad loss to the Ren community, and I am sure that those in Ravenshire will wear some token of remembrance. My prayers and thoughts go out to his friends and loved ones.
I've known Joe for about 30 years. They were the ground breakers. I will miss him.
Warm thoughts go out to his family and the rest of the ren community. We've really lost a great performer.
*At the Pearly Gates, St. Peter did a Roll call of the recent arrivals*
"John Doe?"
"Here"
"William Smithers?"
"Present."
"Joseph Kudla?"
"Snot here."
*At which point St. Peter looks up..*
"Can someone tell me where he is?"
*Another newcomer chimed in*
"He's Snot here."
*St. Peter sighs..*
"Alright, so where has he gone?"
*Several more speak up.*
"Just take a look.. He's Snot Here!"
*At which St. Peter begins to look irritated.*
"Alright, ALRIGHT! You all have made it clear that Joseph Kudla is not here, So Please, does anyone know where he is?"
*The crowd responds*
"We did not say He is Not here, we said He's Snot Here!"
*St. Peter buries his face in his hands in sheer frustration.*
"Just tell me where he is......."
*At which point Joseph Kudla steps forward, dressd in his Renaissance Best.*
"I am Joseph Kudla, but I also go by the name Snot.
You don't get to Faires much, do you?"
Okay, not only is that funny, but a fitting tribute as well. Well done.
Even though i never got to see Puke and Snot in person before i did get to see them in a few YouTube videos and they were just to funny.They (especially Joe aka Snot)had me laughing so hard that i almost had tears rolling down my face.But anyway It was a shame to learn of Joe's death.My heart goes out to his family,his faire family and all of his friends as well.

They were the first ren faire act that I ever saw. Laughed my arse off that day and I pretty much memorized their CD. I shall say a silent prayer for Joe whenever I head over to MN.
