Opening cannon to last cannon, yesterday was my best day at Renaissance ever. The turkey legs were crispier, the mead was clearer and the annual cigar on the hobbit trail was more peacful. Perhaps it was the pre-season lease worries or me paying my last respects to Snot at the pirate ship early in the day. I seemed to have a greater appreciation for all the big and little things that can so easily be lost. We are truely blessed for several weeks out of the year to have this thing we call the Renn Fest... and the best part, yesterday was only the first day...
