Hey all,
She is at the hospital, finally on a pitocin drip. Things are progressing quite slowly, so they expect to have very little else to report for a while. She is having contractions, but nothing substantial so far.
I'll send info along here as I get it. We're all anxiously awaiting the birth of the next Mini-Dreg!
YAYZ!!!!
AWWW thanks for the update Rachel.
Please let her know we are all thinking good thoughts of the healthy fat baby and safe, fast and painless as possible delivery variety.
And send her/them our love from her adoring fans.
Thanks for the update,Rach!
Sending good thoughts to Mom, Dad, and baby!
Sending positive thoughts and energy their way. Bringing life to the light is an arduous task but I know Suze is up to the challenge.
Hugs to all those helping her along.
10 fingers, 10 toes...
I'm thinking she's going to do fine.
4:15 is my guess.
Good luck to her, hope it goes smoothly and quickly.
8:45pm Monday Update:
Pitocin dosage was increased, she walked around for about 30 min to help circulate the drugs through her system. The contractions are becoming stronger and more painful for her, but she is still not in full, active labor at this time.
Frost and Chad are hanging out at the hospital, and I am just a 10 min drive away, so can be there in a flash.
More as soon as I get the next update!
Thanks for the update Rachel.
The pitocin didn't work for me when we tried to force the bratty Girlchild out.
If they didn't already, tell Suze to ask if they'll break her water. It doesn't hurt, and it seemed to help speed things along for me. Then she won't have to sit there for hours on end being in pain, when that will be what they end up doing anyways.
I agree with Kate..
Break the water, that should move things along!
Good luck Suz.. may you have an easy birth!
Suze sent an e-mail just before midnight on Monday night:
"no baby tonight- drugs are stopped and I'm awaiting sleeping tabbies. tomorrow am we start again full bore- woot!?
after being on the drip so long there just wasn't hardly any progress in my cervix and while I *could* have bullied thru all night long, the process is looking to be over 24 hours. I am exhausted already and anxiously awaiting the "all-clear" to head to sleep."
All our hopes and well wishes are flowing to her, hoping she gets to move things along.
I am glad they let her sleep.
Tell her we are all pulling for her, and all of us Droupie "Aunties" and "Uncles" hope today goes a lot better!
Best wishes and blessings on a speedy delivery today!
Oh man, sounds like a repeat of mine last year. LOL!
Lets see which one of us was in labor longer, then we can swap war stories.

I thought Suze might smash Frost in the face when she saw the video camera in the room, but...watch for yourselves, folks!
Hey in case you dont catch it......in the background it shows Suze's DIRECT number to her room!!!!!! Yay Frost for posting that, lets all call her now!!!!!!!!
Pore gal. Phoenix aren't you expecting any day now too? I heard bad bad thing about that pictocin. Having done this twice now, I really recommend the morphine for a fast delivery.
See I understood that Morphine made the baby sluggish so it slowed the process. I was okay with the pitocin but like I told Suzie, make them relieve your bladder like a billion times. That way when you go to push you don't spend 3 hours doing it going what the heck he's right there and then realize your bladder was too full.
OK seriously, now I know how you all felt when I went in for my induction, this is irritating, I want to know what's going on NOW!!!
Grrr...

Yeah I am expecting any day now, I'll be glad when its done, I'm tired & yes I know I'll be even more so after.
I couldn't reccomend anything mine was fast enough as it was, though the epidural worked wonders on the pain.
That may be what you heard about morphine but when Matt was born I very clearly remember one staff saying to another, well that was another morphine induced labor. I went in just before midnight and they were going to send me home because I wasn't there at all. They gave me this lovely morphine which stopped all the pain and Matt was born before dawn. Corse all the morphine wore off before he was born and it all happened so quick they could not give me any other drugs but it was done fast, even if painful.
Huzzah to Suze for being such a good sport with the camera in there. Sending soothing thoughts to you, Suze. You can do it!
MG
I wonder how much warning she got....
Any word yet?
From a mutual friend who posted it on livejournal and it wasn't locked so it's fair game.
Suze is being prepped for an Epidural followed by the breaking of the water. She said things are not progressing as fast as they would like, but they are going to make another move at getting this child out of there.
So that's the latest.
Well, I hope they don't drag this out another day for her. This is ridiculous!
Hang in there Suze, it will all be long forgotten when you get the cute baby in your arms.
Glad you weren't "brave" and went with an epidural.
Epidural is a very good thing.
Kay went from three to ten while I was reading when she was pg. No pain at all.
Baron, I did not have an Epidural.
I had a hypo, which made me sleep from 3-10, and a paracervical, which they don't do anymore for some strange reason.
Go Suze!

I was thinking that too!
I know I wasn't that nice when I was in labor, the doc said I needed to turn over and I yelled at him!
The ears are the scary part when then finally do come out.
Waiting for news....
ears?
Yeah I second the ears comment? What are you talking about Baron?

I really don't have any more information than this, either. At 6:40pm I got a txt that she was only 3 cm dilated, w/ epidural, water still intact. There was a request for no visitors at that time, so I've stayed next to the computer and phone as much as possible.
I hope she gets some rest and then this wraps up quickly. Probably only slightly less than Suze wishes that herself!
Has someone started rubbing her feet, I always heard that helps bring on labor. Tell those nurses to get to work and get that baby out!!!!
(Not that I want to hear "my song" out at fest or anything :-X :-\ 8) ;D :D ;) )
Per txt from babydaddy at 11 tonight:
Going for C-Section. Suze is fine, is for baby's safety. Should be out of OR in an hour or two.
Yay! Baby almost here!!!

Super congrats to mom, baby and dad. I raise a glass in joy for the happy family.
