Title: Pipes in the Valley Celtic Festival - 27 Sep., Hartford CT
Post by: Frederic on August 30, 2008, 12:55:02 PM
Has anyone been to this festival before?   Its in its 7th year, but this is the first I've heard of it.  It sure looks interesting.

Well ... I'm going this Saturday.  The forcast is for showers in Hartford, but who can claim Scott's ancestry and still be afraid of a little rain?   In any case ,  two of the festival's co-sponsors are the Old Burnside Brewery and the local Dewar's Scotch distributor, so there's the antidote for bad weather right there on site!  I'll give a report when I come back.

ARGH!  Cancelled due to weather!  And I missed opening day at CTRF for this ... though come to think of it, they were probably pretty soggy at the faire too  .... Oh, well  ... Faire tomorrow, and I'll have to find another place to get a pint of that Old Burnside Ten Pwnny Ale.
