Title: October 4 & 5
Post by: Lady Deborah on September 17, 2008, 06:55:59 PM
A phone call from a friend, and a visit to the festival website are both confirming an additional weekend has been added to faire.  That will make up nicely for the weekend in the mud?

Did the production company even think about these facts?  The place may look deserted.  The extra weekend is a catch-22, with the new mid-Michigan faire starting this year the same week and all.  What to do, what to do!

My husband's cousin was also supposed to be married October 4th at the closed faire (his entire family works there) and now he isn't sure what to do since they all have to work now.  I feel so bad for him  :(

The management ascertained if there were enough folks and acts available before making the call. We were all questioned via e-mail. It will be a fun weekend and there will be plenty to do. Even if I have to sing to everyone personally. Best done before 4 on Saturday :)

Oh, and of course I will be offering free hugs and looking like a deranged loon at the time. You'd not believe how many people are scared of a crazy women in ren garb who is 5'2" and 145 pounds offering free hugs and calling every man who passes her by a chicken, complete with clucking sounds. I'm gonna try it in Meijer's someday. Snort.

This is very exciting news!!  The new faire does not start until October 11th, faire goers will not have to choose which one to attend.

Another weekend with our rennie family and friends...HUZZAH!!!   :D

Don't bother trying it at Walmart, no one would notice anything out of the ordinary, especially later in the evening.  ;D
