Title: Pieces of eight the coin game
Post by: renfairephotog on October 20, 2008, 12:24:51 AM
I found this game a a hobby shop. It came out a couple years ago.

Pieces of eight  is a metal coin game. It's like the collectable card games. Different coins have different abilities.  The coins are bigger than a quarter. The set includes a small pouch that is used as your Hold during the game.

There are sixteen coins in a box and two different sets.  The coins in each set are not randomized; you can combine ship sets to gain a wider selection of coins and the advantage over your foes.

I actually have the two different sets for this, but have yet to play it.  I'll have to dig it out and find someone to give it a try with.

It sounds like a great game, I'll surely be looking into it.  When I first saw the title
of this post I thought you were refering to Captain Morgan's Revenge:

It's a great game to play when the rum flows free.
Not a lot of rules to remember and a fast paced game for pirates of any age.
