Title: By Baby Corn Snake AGAIN!
Post by: Kahlan Rose on October 20, 2008, 05:58:51 PM
So I found out that my baby has mites. I was so sad and nervous for him...by the way after believing it was a girl for about a week I found out it was a guy. After I gave him some meds he's doing a lot better no more mites and he's eating like a healthy hatchling. Good news he finally shed his old skin today and I'm so proud. Wow I am a freak.

Anyone like this with their pets?

It's not just you...

My husband and I gather around the tank when he feeds our rose-hair tarantula, and we often tell our green anole that 'he's the man'...just for doing anole stuff...not to mention when the kitten who adopted us used his litterbox - you would have think he'd washed and folded the laundry, done my taxes and sewn a brand new gown for mommy to wear to faire I was so proud... :P

Are you kidding???? I just spent $1200.00 on one of my cats because he had what is called "Blocked Tom" (he couldn't pee on his own).

I've spent upwards of $600 on vet bills for a parakeet.  And would have spent ten times that if it would have done any good.

I just spent $1800 on one  dog to have  knee surgery  and  around  $800  for another dog to have  eye  surgery.    Oh and lets not forget  their  yearly vaccines.  and   then  there is  the new puppy i got  this  summer.  Oh and  then the three cats, and  oh   yea,  the  two horses.    So yes, i know about vet bills, but  i love all my pets.    They are my children, and  are a big part of our family.   My human  son,  calls  them his  brothers   and  sisters. :)

My cat is my baby, the dog is my husband's baby.  XD  I really do love them both dearly, but Crucio (our cat) is my snuggle-buddy and loves me more, while Weezer, the dog, is Chris' snuggle-buddy and loves him more.  Add to that the fact that I can't get mad at the cat for much of anything, while the dog tests my patience sometimes (he's really super hyper and lunges for peoples plate/hand if they're holding food while standing), and it's kind of obvious that Mr. Crucio-face is a complete "mama's boy."

And yes, I have called off work for a missing cat.  >.>  Well, I was sick, too, and had already been out for two days because of it, but the cat might have had more to do with it on the third day.  XD

Yay my baby finally shed and he's back to normal. I seriously love having him to cuddle with between classes. Its seriously so comforting, and I love snakes so he's perfect.

BTW I think snakes are really misunderstood, they're curious, friendly and fun little critters

I like snakes too! I agree! I have had comments about my wizard staffs with snakes. Some think snakes are evil?  Strange!

Yeah I take it a step further, I think they're adorable and usually cuddly. I'd rather have a 6 foot snake to cuddle with than a cat.

Now I loves cats and dogs too. When I get out of school I plan on getting both just the fact that they are so much harder to take care of scares me. And the fact that I freak out when my baby snake gets sick, more pets will cause me to stay up and get less sleep from worrier.

My fiance thinks I'm nuts and he says I'll be crazy  when we have kids.

Kahlan, you should try snuggling with one of my carpet pythons sometime...although every cornsnake I've ever handled has been a total sweetheart.

Glad to hear the mites are all cleared up though, I once lost 3 baby corns and a big beautiful eastern kingsnake to a mite infestation :(

I tend to get anxious when my little tarantulas are molting, that's always touchy because I've lost several small ones mid-molt. (Also baby spiders are WAY cuter than baby snakes.)
