Title: so quiet
Post by: Blushing on December 02, 2008, 02:25:45 PM
And all through the threads not a [wench, pirate, rogue, noble ...] was stirring ... ;D

I hope all is well, and everyone is having a wonderous December thus far.  Any fun plans?  I'm still hoping to make the Christmas murder-mystery ...

And ust think, we're that much closer to faire opening ... well, 193 days to be exact.

Cheers!

THAT'S TO LONG. We need another faire... a nice big one in April to May, 4 to 6 weeks long... say in Northern Colorado or a late one say Mid Aug to Mid Sept or early Oct. And being in NoCo where the weather is MUCH nicer and not so cold that time of the year... ie. we have yet to have any real snow just a dusting. But then again Loveland and Ft Collins are what we in the front range call the "Banana Belt" The storms hit the high peaks and split around us... it's actually true that our weather is fairer and nicwer than most of the rest of the state.

Other wise things are going fine. Had an interview yesterday for a longer contact and more money. Love where I'm at, just hate worring about a job every three months.

Take care and enjoy December.

Good luck with the contract!

Let's see ... Arizona faire opens in February, and of course the Southern California faire is in April-May ...

Things are all right here...I am slogging through pre-finals week...finals.  Go figure.  They give us finals week but then all the finals are due the week before??  I don't get it.  Meh.  I am seeing Trans-Siberian Orchestra tomorrow with my dad though, it's my reward for getting all this stuff done!  (Speaking of, I should be finishing up that stuff instead of browsing the net, but whatever...I have all night.)

I am disappointed that there has been no snow up here in NoCo.  I loooove me some snow.  Friday it snowed about 3 inches at my parent's house, so that was a nice ending to my Thanksgiving break.  Then I came back to Greeley and it was dry as a bone.  Ah well.  At least I still have my Christmas tree to remind me that somewhere it's winter!  :)

I can't wait till Arizona!  I am going the weekend of President's Day.  My parents turned into rennies this year and it's AWESOME because now I just get to tag along whenever they want to go to other faires.  :D

Right.  I'm off to go finish some lesson plans.  Yay!

I am SO trying to get Toki talked into ARF or Scarby. I'm Jonesing??? Maybe it should be Boleyning :) for faire. I guess it all depends on money at the time

Good luck on the Pre-Finals Finals Zoe. And have fun at Trans Siberian. If you love the guitar work check out Savatage. That's Chris Cafferty's other band. It's metal though.

Yay I am 1 poem away from finishing this project, haha.

I adore TSO.  I saw them live about 5 years ago and they were incredible.  I go nuts for the lights show they put on, but then again I'm an audio/visual control techie, so go figure.  Can't wait.

*runs screaming*

Other than getting than watching it snow there is nothing new over here on the western slope... I really should be working on stuff for the shop rather than messing around here.

I'm hoping that Mom and I can make it down to the Arizona fair, this year we might be able to make it!

I drove almost 40 miles in the snow this morning from Loveland, to Boulder and will make the return trip home at 5 when the roads start to ice up again and more snow is on the ground. Not sure why everyone drives so slow... OH that's right most are not from a snowy state like Colorado.

No problems here, just be cautios, keep your distance between cars and be prepared to stop

I drive SLOW and backwards so I can see what people are yelling as they run into me. Also- if you drive slow enough you will get there yesterday... I mean tomorrow.

Blushing- I'll have to send you my snow poem I posted last year...

Yay for the ThesCon.  That's the reason I have no class tomorrow!  :D  I worked the UNC table last year, but I was too busy this year.  Have fun!

a WHAT convention?  I thought carrot top was into guys.  go figure.

Adams #1 winter driving tip...... pretend you are invisable.  assume no one sees you and no one will stop for you.
come to think of it, that's my #1 summer driving tip too.

I don't mow my snow.... I use a leaf blower.

Adams #1 favorite winter quip.... "that's not snow.... those are sunflakes.  it's what happens when it's this damn cold."

cheers!

Zoe,
Self proclaimed THESPIAN, and TECHIE that you be. Are you acting like you're banging all day, and screwing all night? Is that like faking it without batteries included? Or would that be a pleasurable assault with batteries?

Further experiments are required.  I'll get back to you when I find out.  ;)
