I was just wondering if anyone had any pictures from the weekend of the "great rain" where Hollygrove was almost washed away? :)

We stayed home that weekend but Cyron took lots of good shots.

great pics I wish I could have been there. I provably would have spent the day in the Pub drinking! ::)

We were there on Saturday, and the pub was pretty full. The roof leaks even in the covered portion, so there wasn't many dry spots and it was pretty miserable. The movie people didn't show up that weekend, but they still had the front parking lots blocked, so we had to park WAY away from the gate. I drive a sports car, and almost got stuck Saturday trying to leave, so I don't know how anyone without a 4wd truck got out Sunday!
The tow trucks were busy making lots of money on the rained "in" weekend. I can't remember how many vehicles were towed out but it was a staggering number. Actually, I posted the numbers in a previous thread but I don't know which one it was...

lol glad i captured the day for yall. i had fun even in the rain.. and since my camera was an older one i didnot care if it got wet, hence all the the pictures.
as for the parking that sucked.. and the towing of people out too, especialy since what i was told is they had to pay each time, i thought that would have been some deal the faire would have made for just one price to pull people out for however long or something since it is there parking lots.. oh well.. i was able to get my dads 2wd truck out.. left 2 nice big ruts though..lol
I saw a guy riding a big Honda Gold Wing type motorcycle when we were walking in and I told my wife, "That guy is nuts!" He ended up parking right by us and we ended up leaving at the same time. I had to give him a push so he could get out of the mud and back onto the road. That was a heavy bike....I almost pulled a ham string. Luckily I drive a 4X4 so I didn't have much of a problem getting out.
