Title: His Priorities are in the right place
Post by: Lady Katherine on January 15, 2009, 09:54:31 PM
My husband, Master Benjamin, had another heart attack this afternoon.  He will be fine, I pray.  As I am sitting in ICU with him, the only coherent thing he said (thanks to the morphine) was,  well, at least I had my heart attack in plenty of time to recover before Scarby starts.

Even during an event like this, you can't help but smile. Sending prayers and many healing thoughts his way and yours also.
And I hope, that he back in tip top shape so that I can meet both of you at Scarby.

I can relate to how he feels.  A couple of years ago when I had my heart attack one of my buggest concerns was that I would not be able to make closing weekend at TRF.  I hope Master Benjamin is at full vigor by the first opening cannon.

With you beside your loved one in his time of need, I can see you have a firm grasp on your priorities as well.  He's a lucky man to have you.  I hope his recovery is going well and he keeps his humor throughout it all.

I thank you all for your good wishes and prayers.  Master Benjamin is home, up to walking 10 min. twice a day now and doing fine.  He should be up to par by Faire time.  He is spending his days on the computer seeking out new recipes for home brews and cordials.  I do believe we shall be having quit a good time at faire.

Good to hear the ticker is doing better. Wow what devotion! I love to hear there are people that actually want to wake up 500 or so years ago! All the best to Master Benjamin, and speedy recovery!

Many thank to all who sent prayers and healing magic when I fell ill a few weeks ago, however Lady Katherine (my better half) last week messed up her knee, a complex tear of the lateral meniscus i.e. the cartilage between the upper and lower bones. She is limping around right now in pain and the Dr told her that surgery realy is the only option. That being said both of us will be at Scarby opening weekend either on our own two feet or on self propeled cart (god willing, creeks don't rise and the sewers don't back up).

Sending much healing energy, prayers for a very speedy recovery and petitions to the PTB's that creeks and sewers stay firmly where they belong!!!
