A good time to check out the wares of the Celtic Croft http://www.kilts-n-stuff.com/ and the Frugal Corner http://www.thefrugalcorner.com/ in person if you want a kilt*
*Not to mention a certain game company ::)
We will be in AZ again that weekend. Why are they having it on Valentines day, bloody Scots. :-[
That many guys in kilts sounds like a great Valentines Day to me! ;D
It's President's Day weekend, which is our traditional weekend b/c some of the Highland dancers come from a long distance and they may have Monday off from school allowing them to travel more easily. It just happens to be Valentine's Day weekend this year.
I'll be getting updates onto the website with the schedule in the next few days. Great stuff lined up!

We're planning to go, not sure which day yet (my work is moving and we're having an open house both afternoons, plus Panda has a b-ball game).
Rune and I will be there.
Thinking about ordering a new kilt from The Bent Needle whilst there ;D

You planning on Saturday or Sunday? We missed this last year (I think one or both of us were sick).
As of right now I'm planning to go however, there's a hicup. I have to get my Gramma out of her house for a few hours on Saturday and thought she might enjoy this event. After looking it over more closely though, I'm afraid it will be too far for parking purposes. (she's 90 this month and does not have any sort of parking/handicap stickers)
We may just come down and see what happens. I hope it sorts out, I need a bit of faire fix.
Bleh.....have to work all weekend. Guess I won't be making it this year. :P
It's Lauren's birthday on the 14th so we have things planned but if I don't work Saturday night I may go Sunday. Have to wear the new kilt sometime!
Sooo... did anyone make it out to this? I was with my Grams until past 5:00 and didn't know how late the event lasted so I just came home.
Sleepy, are you and Jen going to this today? If so, I'd like to join you or meet you there. Your thoughts?

The Frugal Corner has a great deal going a package deal:
A kilt, sporran, belt & buckle, hose, flashes, and kilt pin for I think it was $170 while at Ramble, I think their sign said it was $22 off the regular price.
Purists might not like the acrylic wool fabric, but I don't think you can really tell the difference on sight, and they've got a decent selection of tartans so that's a pretty darn good price for a complete outfit. All you need to add is a shirt and shoes.
So, who made it to the Ramble this year?
Rune and I made it on Saturday. He dropped on his kilt for alterations and I got measured for a new one ;D. Thomson Modern, just above the knee. Sooo Excited!
We saw you, GP at your booth and waved. But when we came back to shoot the breeze you looked like you had a customer and we didn't want to interrupt.
It seemed a little smaller this year. Minneapolis Police Pipe Band was there again but the Metro Band was not.
MNRF didn't have a table there this year.
But otherwise, lots of good displays and bargains from the vendors.
Oh... And guys in kilts. SQUEEL!!!
I ended up working Saturday night and slept most of Sunday.
We were there on Sunday and had a great time! Panda spent a great deal of time in the Clan Tartan area and we let her pick the activities etc. It was a lovely way to spend a February day. Groomporters booth was busy whenever we stopped by so we didn't get a chance to say hi.
Yeah we had lots of players, but not enough buyers :-\
I wasn't there but Avalon was there with her grandma on Sunday. I was busy being a bad weed puller at the motorcycle show at the convention center.
