Dewey Martin, drummer for the Buffalo Springfield, was found dead in his Van Nuys apartment on February 1. He was a character. I worked with him and Bruce Palmer, the bassist, also now deceased with the Buffalo Springfield Revisited in the 1980's. Through this, I was able to be present at the only time the original band members all rehearsed for several days at Stephen Stills' home. He had a pretty illustrious career prior to the Springfield, although that is what he was most known for. Here's a link to Wikipedia on Dewey:

You've lived such a charmed life, musician-wise, Nicolette!
It's sad when they die at really what is a relatively young age. It makes me wonder if past events have caught up to them.
Dewey is actually the reason that I ended up in the bus business. He was the one who steered us to Geordie when he needed someone to head up the management company, which eventually morphed into the coaches. Most of my income since 1986 has been a direct result of knowing Dewey.
