Title: Funny Irish tavern scene
Post by: TKM on February 20, 2009, 02:48:29 PM
I made this a while ago when my friends and I were planning on getting an Irish folk band together for the renfest. It may still happen, who knows, but i just found this archived in my old pictures and thought some of you might get a laugh out of it. I found the painting on google and just added all the dialog myself.

I know the painting is probably depicting an english or dutch scene, but my work was all done in irish spirit =P

I like the boy/man talking to the dog. I felt like that once over a friend's house. I was pretty drunk and was talking to the dog and it had this expression on its face like it understood me. I never would think he'd (the dog) would want to off himself, but maybe that guy in the pick spoke some sense into him. HA! Ha! There's so many things that could be said about that painting.
