Post by: Love Good Wood on February 26, 2009, 09:21:15 AM
Just finished making my first pair of Ren Boots... still need to add the soles, but here are some pics (they were pretty easy to make)

I need to take some better pics... these are just from my phone

P.S.  since it was my first try I didn't want to spend too much... so i got some micro suede type material from Wal-Mart for like $14... it also has an inner lining of black denim

Nicely done! Make certain you have *good* soles (and maybe arch supports) so your feet won't be offended by the abundance of Scarby stones in the lanes.

Nice cushy soles that absorb the scarby stone!

Well done on the boots. Queeneleanore is right about the soles and arch supports. You don't want plantar fasciitis, take it from someone that got it at faire!

Messina Shoe Repair -
12896 Josey Lane, Dallas - (972) 241-7866

They put new soles on my dreamshoes. They should be able to put some good soles on these boots.
