June 12,13,14
Looking forward to seeing everyone again. :)
YEA! To be a pirate again. Always fun to show a different side than everyone is accustomed to seeing. :)
Oh, thanks for posting the correct dates. I didn't realize that the dates that I thought the event was going on, were actually still for 2008. Kinda bummed that it's not my birthday weekend anymore, but hey, what's a week after, right?
Well now Amalthea, a week later just means you'll be in full swing! Got the practice weekend out of the way and all that. ;D
Looking forward to seeing pics from the weekend. :)
*Moved this thread over here from the "smaller faires" forum. Kinda figured it belongs it our own back yard. *
I would like to go, I will have to wait and see
I should be able to go, mundane or not. I've got some concept ideas for garb for myself and thinking about helping David with his...but I'm looking forward to this enough that I'd go in total street clothes, just to be there!
Thankee fer postin the dates, Anna...I did haves the wrong weekend stuck in wha's left o' me brain, an had already tells someone I were not available fer sompin on the wrong weekend 8)
Your welcome. :0 Hope the plans for the now free weekend works out for you.

What...you can't tell your vicar you're off playing pirate? ;D ;D
It's still too early to know whether we'll be there or not. The only way I would absolutely, definitely be there would be if my honey was working the show or decided to go simply as a playtron (highly unlikely), but he's still up in the air about it. We'll see. If not, see y'all in the fall!

Greetings Crewe,
As many of you know, i will not be at John Levique this year, as Thomas Thompson (Tom Tom the Navigator) or as a playtron, as things stand now. I would like to wish those of you who grown to know as my crew and fellow cast members a very successful production. Knock 'em dead. Besides for those of you who know me, yo know that I belong in a blue coat and would rather hang all you bloody pirates, LOL.
Cordially,
Ryan C.

Well, Scurvy Prevention has come and gone, but twas a fine appetizer fer John Levique.
I know I be lookin' forward to me first John Levique Festival. Now, fer the small party at the Pirate Cove, the place was packed and parking was a challenge. Now I be thinkin' that fer the festival in June this will be 10 times more of a consideration.
Fer ye experienced with these uncharted shores, what be yer suggestion for finding good anchorage? (Sorry Joann - What are good parking strategies ;D)
BTW, here be a bit of a preview from Scurvy Prevention...

Aye, Mickey...it be the suck....
All hands on deck at around 9 bells in th' morn....or you'll be paying good money and walking 3 blocks fer the privilege of partyin' with us...
The fun starts early, goes all day, and continues well into the evening! Drink plenty of water...
Or get there as early as possible and get a spot in the parking garage by the , always delicious, Friendly Fisherman. You can pay to park there all day and you are a short stumble to the pubs! (Literally right across the street.)

I am so excited. I just booked my airfare from Colorado to return home to Tampa for the weekend of John Levique. I'm giving up opening weekend of of Colorado's Faire to come play pirate with you all. And you know what? I'm perfectly OK with that. Even if I'm not fighting this show, I'm so excited to be around such awesome people again. :D
I'll be running around as the only member of the cast dressed as a Disney pirate. I'll be crossdressing as a certain dreadlocked rum-soaked captain, recognizing I'll be taking lots of abuse from all the 'real' historical pirates. I'm looking forward to this more than I can describe ... this is going to be a show to remember!
OK, going back to lurking now....

Looking forward to meeting you, but I won't slap you, promise! (Even though every harlot I play is in homage to a certain red-headed one! ;-)
I could not harm a hair on the head of a fellow Norrington lover! ;)

Seriously though, you may or may not have seen me out at Faire with the Landsknechts. I wanted to meet you but never got the chance.
I'm looking forward to it. Look for the Southern belle redhead and you'll find me! Or just ask for "Peaches" ;-)

Squire Mickey, I'd be honored to join your group of scallywags. I'll see you there!
-J. Sparrow, captain without a ship... or crew... or rum since you can't take it on your carryon on planes...

Hey...Davens and I were wondering if anyone lived out that way and would be willing to let us crash for Saturday night? We'll bring cookies!
Righto, Mates. Anne Bonny's Rum Party. 5:30pm. Saturday. Friendly's. If you're cool, you'll be there.
(We are celebratin' something too!)
Heard today at rehearsal that the rum party has been changed back to the place it was last year, Casa Havana.
It is still at 5:30 on Saturday.
It is BYOB. So bring yer flasks.
But Scully's is right across the way if'n ye don't have yer own stock.
I won't be making JLD this year. I'll miss you all, but will be doing my own plundering on the high seas, as the parentals surprised me with a cruise as an end-of-the-school-year gift. Can't turn it down! :)
Enjoy! I expect to see lots of pics!
Bummer.....well.....more rum for us!
LAY ON!
Hey to all Harbinger crew, check the Harbinger forum over the next few days for information about JL
Looking forward to seeing everyone! Gonna be very busy getting everyone's leather work done over the next 2 weeks!
Anyone else need anything, let me know now...
Hey all...
I hear a rumor that there may be a bloody slaying of a certain pirate sometime between 2 and 2:30.
Just sayin....you might want to be around. :D
I cannot WAIT to see everyone this weekend.
The harlots will be up in the main encampment area instead of the cozy little nook from last year.
But we're easier to find! Just ask for "Peaches" or look for the redhead in gold and, well, peach!
Seamus and Lady Red know me as does Wenchie if anyone needs the help! ;-)
You can't miss us though! ;)
Woohoo! Just a couple of days now!
Rum? Check.
Crew? Check.
Encampment? Check.
Rum? Just need another check to make sure there's enough!

Been known to use that one myself!
Esc - At the last telling, I don't think they will be there. I know there were some talking about ordering some. If I hear anything more, I'll let you know.
Seamus - A BIT of rum?!
Margarethe/Peaches - Hopefully not like two years ago! Sound to me as if our encampments will be very near each other, though.

It was so nice to see everyone and some of the BARF cast too! Most of my withdrawls went away...XD
I agree, it was great to see everyone and wish I could have stayed another day. Fae, I took a few shots Friday night but didn't take any Saturday. Considering the number of cameras, however, I am sure there are a lot. Here are three from the Pirates Ball.

james1337, thank you so much for posting your photos! I snagged the 2 you got of me as Captain Jack to email to my hubby, but this weekend, when my computer isn't being a poopyhead, I'm going to save them all!
OK, here's my photos.
http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y106/pktaxwench/John%20LeVique%202009/?start=all
Half of them are Bohemean Fire who were all sorts of awesome, the other half are pretty much all me as Captain Jack Sparrow (but there's some fabulous pictures of the harlots too). Yes, I'm egotistical. How else could I dare to play Jack? You have to be full of yourself to do that. :D
I had a blast this past weekend. It was so totally worth flying all the way from Colorado to play with you all. I'm totally going to be back in 2010!!!!!!!!
J. Sparrow, Captain

I noticed "Jack" apparently has favorite parts of anatomy and on me it isn't the one you'd expect! ;-)
It was so good to FINALLY get to meet you! Can't wait to meet "Norrie" this next time.
Just warn him about "The Redhead" ahead of time! ;-)
What a great time. Thanks for sharing the pics. I especially like the one of Jack eating his own ribs. :D And I hope you aren't put off Rum Party, because I can't wait to see you there next year. Had a wonderful time parlaying with ye, luv!

I would never regret the quality time I spent with you and everyone else there... I only requet the quantities and combination consumed there and shortly afterwards. Next year, it's fruity sissy drinks for me. I honestly don't recall getting back to the hotel that night... though I do have a very vivid memory of the fun walk back to the fight circle afterwards. :D
It was a most amazing weekend, that's for sure.
Captain Jack Spareribs :D
