Well,
She's not so much a puppy anymore, but I sure could use some good thoughts and well wishes for my best furry friend. We noticed a lump and the vet swore up and down we were crazy for sending it in after a biopsy...but it turns out that instincts were right and she has cancer and a very agressive and nasty one. Not sure what stage it is in (tomorrow I'll find out) but if it's stage one...apparently, surgical removal yields 90% chance of no return at all.
*lights a candle for her best friend*
Thanks!
Sending good thoughts for your 'puppy', from myself and all my critters!

Prayers and good wishes for your furry friend.

Hugs to you and the puppy- praying for good news soon!
You and your puppy are in my thoughts prayers Lady Lily.
Lighting a healing candle for your puppy and a candle of support for you. I'm so proud to hear that you have decided to take medical treatment for her.
Well,
Doggie had surgery this morning. They removed the tumor and everything around it. apparently, they were absolutely and completely surprised that we had even found it. They are sending it in to the lab and we'll know the stage and such that it is in and what we can do about it in the next few days.
So far...Jessee has an incision that's bout 6" long and is obviously not happy. She just sits and cries...it's heartbreaking, but...I think it was caught early and all those good thoughts have definitely helped! Thanks.

Lady Lilly, I have a beloved canine child that was diagnosed with a brain tumor last fall. She was not expected to live thru Christmas. The vet put the dog on Predisone and it, along with prayers to the Lord above , have allowed the dog to still be hanging in there which i am very grateful for. I know Predsone is not a cure, but it is buying my dog thankfully some more time with us, and most importantly keeping her from being in discomfort.
So you may want to ask your vet about Predisone. I wish you and your dog well, cause i know excatly what you are going so. It is not easy to watch your pet go thru.

Just saw you had post again, while i was typing this. Glad they were able to remove the tumor. For my dog, the vet said surgery was too risky.
I will pray for your dog that they caught it in time, and that she is on her road to recovery. :). What breed of dog is she? What a sweet face she has . I own a male golden retriever, a female yellow lab ( she is the one with the tumor, and a female beagle/sheperd mx puppy.
Once gain, wishing you both well. Keep us posted !
What a cute puppy you have Lady Lily. Like Amy said I to will pray that she is on her road to recovery. I am also very glad that they were able to catch the cancer in time to remove it.
God bless you and Peace be with you as well my dear. :)
Look at that sad sweet puppy face- makes you wanna gather it up in your hands and snuggle your face into it, yes? If the margins were clear, that should bode very well. We're keeping you both in our prayers.
Glad tohear the tumor is out, wishing her the best results and recovery!
Awwwww what a cutie! I am glad the tumor was removed. I am sending continued good wishes to you and Jessie.

Hi Lady Lily what a precious angel she's an adorable do. Will keep her in my prayers.
Love U Anne XXXXX
Well,
The results came in and it looks like she has a stage two tumor, but they did remove everything that was there so far. Investigating other treatment options, but the statistics are saying a 42% chance at her surviving two years. :-(
Lily, so sorry to hear this. Your pup will continue to be in my prayers.
Lily that is such sad news. Your dog continues to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Make every day count, however many she has. Today is all that any of us are guaranteed, anyhow. I have an older dog whose days grow short, and every one we have together is precious to me. My heart is with you and your lovely girl.
We took Jessee to the University vet clinic. They said that she has a less than 20% chance that there are any potential cancer cells outside the area they removed and there's a less than 10% chance that it spread to her lymph nodes or anywhere else. Just to be certain, she has a bone marrow biopsy, lymph node aspirations, and an ultrasound tomorrow...what a way to spend her birthday. Unfortunately, we found a lump on her ear, they are going to check it over, but according to the doctor, it felt like a cyst, which is common in one of the breeds that is in her funky mix.
Once we get those results, we'll find out if she needs more surgery or any other treatment. Hopefully the tests come back with no spread. They said that there was a 60% chance that she is cured right now. Thanks for the prayers, they have definitely been helpful.
Your welcome. :) Continue to wish Jessee well. Give her a big hug for me.
Continued prayers are sent your way!
I have been in that situation. They told us, our cat, at that time age 2, wouldn't make it with her cancer. After loosing the leg, they said her life-span was limited. Well, after she jumped out of a 2nd floor window, into snow.... :o...she had kittens and lived to be the ripe old age of 14!
Keep the faith and I am praying for you all!

Lily your furry little friend is still in my thoughts and prayers. Please continue to keep us updated on how she is doing.
Keep us posted, prayers still coming your way! Hugs, Peace and Blessings
Jessee underwent all of her tests yesterday. Poor little girl has a pretty funky hair cut with all her belly fur missing, a random rectangle on her side, fur gone from one of her legs and a random circle on her chest.
And the long awaited results...all tests came back normal. No cancer spread or anything. It was recommended that we put her through one more surgery on her side...there will be a bigger nastier scar, but it will ensure that there is nothing icky out there that could potentially cause regrowth. Aside from one more surgery to fret over, Jessee is doing well! And the lump we foud on her ear...just a cyst.
Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. They really do work! :-)

Lady Lily, that is the best news i have heard all day. Yea, Yea and triple yea ! Yes, prayers do work ! :)
Huzzah to Jessee that all her test results came back normal. That is such wonderful news Lady Lily.
Huzzah for the little tyke. I know the worry you are going thru and my wife and I are glad that she has weathered the storm and that she is progressing nicely.
So happy to hear that Jessee is dong so well. May you have many happy years together.
Jessee has her last surgery today...actually, right at this very moment. They will be going deeper and wider, so the recovery is going to be a bit longer. Also, they will possibly and probably have to keep her overnight this time around. We're almost there!
My thoughts and prayers are still with you and your precious little dog Lily. Please continue to keep me updated on how she is doing.
She's not too happy at this moment. Lots of pain which currently has her unable to really walk. She'll definitely be even more mellow than usual the next couple of days!
