Title: Wine Tasting
Post by: Lady Ann of Draycott on April 16, 2009, 08:00:26 AM
Anyone want to do the Wine Tasting with me on Saturday, April 25th?

It's at the new Cat and Fiddle Tavern at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.  Guests sample six wines and watch an hour long show.  I think tickets are $30 each.

I'd really like to go, but Tim doesn't drink wine so I'm looking for some other people that might want to go with me...  ;)

The Lovely Lady Trinn wanted me to pass along
She's In!
Now how does one reserve a spot?

*why is there never a rum tasting booth?*

You also get a souvenir engraved wine glass after the Wine-tasting!

We did this while we were there and really enjoyed it.  We did one at Minnesota, which had various performers come in and perform (obviously, that is what they do).  At the Cat and Fiddle we actually learned about wine tasting and sampled some different wines - kind of like a lab experience.  there were only 4 of us and the hosts were most gracious, it was one of our highlights.

We enjoyed it when we went opening weekend, but $30 per is a little pricey for what they offered.

I was not well educated in wine (my wife quite a bit more so - of course that is true for any subject, I guess :))
anyway, it was good for me - learned my 4 S's (and the 5th and 6th)
