Title: Fishing
Post by: Madge Estes on April 17, 2009, 04:30:26 PM
Some of us are getting together on Friday, April 24 to go deep sea fishing out of Tarpon Springs.  Anyone want to join in the fun?

Post here ASAP so that we can get reservations made.

Cost is $60/person
Trip is 8 hours, leaving the dock at 8 (OMG!) a.m., and returning at 4 p.m.

We had a great time last year.  AMbios and I both almost catching keeper groupers... just 1/2 inch too short.  (We were tempted to have Goliath step on them so they'd measure up ;D)

FYI...subing assignment changed...but in this case it's a GOOD thing...I'll be aboard next Friday despite what I originally had to tell our good Roswell (talked to him yesterday, so he knows I can make it now).

And definitely....keeper grouper this time fer both of us!

;D ;D ;D

Thank you for the invite Madge. It'd be fun and I do enjoy fishing, but I'm trying to pull off an out of town for this weekend. Another time I hope. Have fun!

I'm dissapointed too Ambios. I suddenly find myself with too many choices for the next few weekends. A good thing yes, but HELLO UNIVERSE!!! CAN WE SPREAD IT OUT A LITTLE?!!

Just means we'll have to plan something another time.  :)

Now it be a well known fact that a day at sea do be one of me favorite pass times.

Unfortunately, me lubber of boss cares not fer me pleasure, but his own fortune.

As such, I must decline yer fine invitation, with me heart felt regrets.

Good fortune to ye on yer outin''.

Oh that sounds fun. :)
Thanks for the invite, but alas I'll have to do some sewing with my mom this weekend. Gala is in two months!!!
Plus, I am going to Disney next week for my birthday, so I am saving my money for that. ;)

Catch a biggy for me though! :)

Lots of fun.....no keeper size grouper, although several of us came close a few times (across the gang, we probably had 6 or 7 18-19 inch reds, but they needed to be 20).  >:(  I scored first fish, Caroline scored "funniest" fish....a puffer that got mad enough on the way up to fully inflate to somewhere between an oversized softball and a soccer ball. ;D

Has us all eager to try again sometime!

True, true.  Karen and I got two full dinners out of mine....I'm sure your's went farther than that, and I don't want to think of how many times Gary will be able to eat off of his catchings!
