It's quite a ride out there, but I may check it out. Has this faire grown larger and back into the woods. I remember a few years back it was just around the edge of a very open field. Still was an entertaining faire. Since the acts they had were good, but not enough of them. Do they have more acts than those few years ago. I spoke to the owners and some of the merchants and they said it was to grow and move into the woods. Any more information than what the internet site has would be much appreciated.

Oh yes, it's moved quite a bit back into the woods. They have more vendors this year, I believe they have more acts too. This is my favorite faire to attend, and am sooooo looking forward to it.  I'm hoping to hit both weekends if I can swing the off time from work.  Having it tucked into the woods gives it such an persona.  I like to just stroll, sit and sketch and enjoy the day.   Hope to see you all there.

Thank you LadyOren you've been most helpful. Sounds good. I'll have attend. But, might not be able to if my work schedule changes. A few people have been laid off and now managment want to do a shift bid, and I may lose my weekends off. And I'm saving my sick days for other events. So I'll have to wait and see. And if I can't go you all go and have fun for me.

Does anyone know of any campgrounds near Mayfaire?  I don't think my girls would go if there is not showers, flush toilets and electric hook ups. I've never camped around Marshall so I'm not sure where to look.

Look for campgrounds around Battlecreek area......

Also FYI, things have changed,......... and being in the woods is not always a great thing.....lol

Go to the web site...... what you see is..... whats there....... I am bummed out that some of my fav entertainers are not there..... like jeffery the piper, conner savage....to name a couple .....sigh

The countdown has begun....

oh no, I loved his skit!  That is truely dissapointing.  He must of had another gig or something came up that wouldn't allow him to attend.  Shoot, he will be truely missed.

Thats like me for Bristol. I am only 32 miles away and basically 25 minutes.

And yes to Lady Faire. Will be able to see many friends again. Looks like 30% possibility of rain. Fingers crossed there will be none.

Hope everyone had fun today...please post pics.  I was at/in a dance recital.  I know kinda old for that sort of thing, but my daughter is in like 80% of the show so it's really all about her.  And we have another show tomarrow and a parade to walk in on monday.  So doesn't look like I'll be wetting my faire whistle this time 'round.

It was a fantastic day at the faire! The weather was warm, partly sunny and no rain at all. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and we had plenty of time to chat with just about everyone we normally see on faire days. It was a good relaxing and fun day...

I'm downloading my pictures right now so they should start showing up on my Pbase site shortly.

Sir Clisto I thought I seen you, but you seemed to be busy, so I didn't want to interrupt. and Cyron I thought I seen you towards the end of the day at the pirate stage. I gave a wave and nod, but you must hadn't seen me or didn't recognize me, cause I had different garb on than my profile pic. And you were busy takin pics so I didn't want to slow you down in what you were doin. All in all though, I thank evryone for their input on the faire. You all convinced me to attend and I did, and it's much better than it was 5 yrs ago. Had lots of fun. All the shows were very entertaining, especially like the full contact combat, like it better than the joust. and the Viking encampment very informative. All the shops were nicely placed also, not too far a walk from each other, and plenty of space to move around in most of them. And I know because I carry a bow on my back and some of the shops at the big renfest are harder to navigate than those tents. So I just hope they keep booking more acts, displays, and shops because it'll only get better from what it is now.

I wish you would have popped over and hailed me down. I am never too busy for anyone. No matter what I am doing. Would of liked to meet ya. I was looking for faces i thought I knew and was relying on others to stop me. LOL... It was a great time and day all in all. I really enjoyed myself and so did my wife even though she isnt in to it at all. I went off on my own while she looked around so I did my thing.

Ladyfaire, was nice to see you again. Same with Queen Ann and many others. I look forward to returning again next season.

For anyone interested, I also have my pictures up from Saturday. Just follow the link below to see the pictures.
