Could you please keep me in your thoughts, prayers, light a candle. On April 28th I go and see a Spine specialist for my lower back. I have had 2 surgeries already and I'm in more pain than before, with sciatica going down both legs as the right is totally numb all the way to the toes and left has partial numbness. According to the MRI Tech that gave me my MRI in Feb. my back is worse and I have bone on bone, a disk that is ruptured and in the spinal canal its not pressing on the spine but is in the canal ??? along with bone growing inside of one of the nerve root openings. ??? I don't want another surgery but she said that I may need one and my Surgeon that did my last 2 surgeries has retired, so now I have to start all over again. If I do need surgery please pray for a simple one and not a full fusion from my tail bone to L2 or just below my waist line (L3-5 are also messed up). This is all due to DDD, or Degenerative Disc Disease a type of arthritis. Sorry this is so long, and thank you listening to me ramble.
I know about back pain.

I have had a bad week/end so far, my left side is progressing faster than my right side ever did and I'm starting to get worried. I almost collapsed twice this weekend. I was just walking along and then my left side gets a sharp pain and then nothing totally numb, at which time my left knee starts to buckle under me. This happened to me with my right side and it caused me to have my second back surgery.

Lady Serena I am so sorry to hear of all this pain you are having right now. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and pray that everything ends alright in the long run. Please keep me and everyone else updated on how you are doing.

Update: I don't have to have surgery just yet, the doctor wants and I also want to try pain management before I go the last route. I found out my back is bad, 3 sections from L5? -L3 to S1 need to be fused. They cannot tell the extent until they do a discogram and I don't want to go through that type of pain right now the back pain is enough already, and this also the reasoning for listing L5 as questionable. I was also told that if they did surgery I may or may not have very good chance of it taking due to my weight for one and because of other medical issues, so I have to loose weight and see a pain doctor and go from there. I missed seeing this Serena. I'm so sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I'll certainly keep you in my thoguhts and sed a prayer for wellness.
Thank you Anna for the prayers. I'm hanging in therefor now, and I'm not going down without a fight. This is why I chose to go the pain management way and hopefully get at least another 3 years out of not having to have surgery only time will tell. We will also be closing down our coffee shop this weekend permanently, but we are going to bring the coffee shop into the fair setting and try it that way. The jewelry store has already been closed down but I'm still doing sales on-line and hopefully next year at a couple of fairs.
