I've always thought if I wanted to dress-up for an anime convention I'd go steampunk. I think I may be bordering on too old for it but I love the look.

To old for the Steam Punk look or to dress up for A-Kon? I saw a guy Saturday I'm guessing was in his fourties decked out in his steam garb. Looked pretty cool.

Well, I was saying I might be too old for Steampunk but several people have convinced me otherwise. Why let 'the young people' have all the fun??
This year I'll be studying for classes and catching up on college course work I didnt get done over the fair weekends. Ya, it's going to be fun. Fun like medieval torture when you are receiving not giving.
I spent my Saturday dressing guys in pirate garb. I'm costuming a pirate melodrama at the pocket sandwich theater. I just left scarby but i get to spend the next 6 weeks up to my elbows making pirate garb. ;D
Friday: Went to the drum circle...
Sat.: Birthday party, then emergency room with grandma
Sunday: Hospital all day, then home
*Grandma has been back to the hospital 3 times since Sat. night, so I've been there quite a bit lately...
Saturday: Got up earlier than usual, packed and drove to a friends house. They drove the wife and me to Muskogee. We dressed as pirates and went to another festival. We drove home that night.
Sunday: Got up late and took my wife out to Blue Mesa for Brunch. We drank our weight in Mimosa's.
For other info: STAR TREK debuted on Thursday night; we went to see it the next Tuesday night; the next Sunday (at faire) someone hands me a pirated version of the same movie.
Does everyone know VIII is a Trek-head?!?
I've watched it three times in two weeks, so far...

Yes, I do know about VIII and Trek. I remember the first time I saw you outside of Scarby was the first year of Hawkwood. You were in Trek garb.

I'm so jealous Cap'n Meg! movies are so much more intense in IMAX...I still haven't seen Star Trek tho...It didnt come here to BFE
