Not antsy yet.

I'll be there with Caribou coffee canteens. They have tea canteens too, if anyone has a preference let me know before.

Got the last of my required papers, insurance, contracts, etc.  Just gotta send en employee to training and I'm good to go!  Just waiting the Orientation mumbo jumbo.

Debating on the camping situation...  Kinda want to stay on site this time...  KOA was great, but having to leave to sleep is pointless.

What pub did you end up in?   Most of them run with just the pubmaster and 2nd until 10.

Haven't found out yet. :( But that sure would be nice not to have to work until 10 - I'm used to always working at 8.

Don't know what we'll be bringing for opening day breakfast yet but Toar and I will be there.

Well it turns out that I have to work opening weekend, closing weekend, and labor day weekend.  The three best weekends of the run...

We're going to miss you guys this year. It's going to feel very strange not being able to go. It looks right now that we won't be able to go for Labor Day weekend either. I had a medical emergency and I think that might have taken us out of the realm of any possibility of going this year. I am not a happy camper, this was the ONE thing I was looking forward to all year, and promise upon promise means nothing I guess.

It will only be a matter of time. But like normal, after loosing a large amount of blood like I did, it takes a while to get back up to full steam. I'll get there though.

Is everyone coming to the darkside!?  Just about everyone is working out there now!??  See what happens when I don't pay attention.

I will not be able to make it out this year . . . not that I did last year either.  I have my own street contract now.  I am also a full memeber of Cigany (Feast bellydance troupe) and will be drumming for them during the feast.  As part of my street contract, I will be drumming for the morning (Bad Manor green) & afternoon(ish) (Bare Stage) drum/bellydance jams.

I'm soooo excited that I will (probably) be able to make it this time! Also, my husband is on 2nd shift so *he* might even come out for the breakfast and a little festing before work! Seriously, the fact that we *both* can probably come to a breakfast about makes me fall out of my chair every time I think about it. :)

Just over 2 weeks!

Perhaps that would be best.  We'll just have to plan another event when people aren't all working.

REMEMBER!!!  10:00 MAIN MEAD BOOTH is still the norm.  Every day.  All run.  See you there!

There's still 17 days, half of a month, you can't call it a wash yet! I may be there, but I don't know my schedule quite yet. If I have to work the morning shift then I'm unsure if I'll be able to make it!

The main mead booth is located right by the Pavillion and Joust Track.. When you enter the front gate head towards Bad Manor and stay to your right.. You will pass us at Foaming Stein and after you stop their to say Hi! the mead booth is just up the lane on the right..  :)

I guess I'll keep checking back to see if the breakfast thing is a go or not.

I will cook it, and they will come.  We're on then!

From the scuttle I'm hearing, SS will be watching parking lot parties so I believe it to be in our best interest to be discreet with any beverages that may be consumed.  As always, we keep the roadway clear and tidy up all of our things.  No trashiness, except of course our behaviour.   ;)   I think because we are always good about cleaning up we'll be fine.

Who's bringing plates/forks/napkins?

Gin and hope to be there opening day, but we will miss the breakfast.

For those that do not know (mainly those not on facebook...LoL), I broke my knee cap back in May. I had surgery to repair it and was suppose to be fine for the start of 'fest, but one of the pins in my knee shifted (a not uncommon thing with broken knee caps) and makes walking for me a bit painful. I can get around if I "straight leg it" and actually do walk like I have a peg leg! But, that's slow, plodding and not a lot of fun. All the hardware will be coming out of my knee the week after Labor Day, so I should be good to go then. I want to try opening day and see how it goes. Thankfully, I have a temporary handicap permit and can park in the front row so I won't have to deal with walking across the parking lot! If things go ok I will be out every weekend like always. If not, I will sit things out until after the hardware come out.

We look forward to seeing everyone again and having another great year at 'fest!..

Banana bread is out because I didn't buy bananas early enough for them to get overripe. Plus it sounds like there will already be a lot of baked goods (muffins, scones...). So I'll do yogurt and granola.

Not antsy yet.

I'll be there with Caribou coffee canteens. They have tea canteens too, if anyone has a preference let me know before.

I would be a tea not a coffee...   ;D

Yup, 8am or thereabouts. Enter through the main gate, go all the way up to the front of the parking lot and turn left. You'll see a big grove of trees and that's where we'll be!

Have more schedule info...it's looking like I can be there for a bit. Is there a want for juice? or a suggestion on something very easy that's different (probably camping Friday night...so nothing cooked can really be done).

Would you mind if we stopped in?  M'Lady is trying to come with something to bring - how many will be there in total?  Anything needed?

I know it is not H/A, but could one use one of those coleman gas grills?

Of course stop by, the more the merrier! I don't know if Safety Services would be big on a grill....

Perhaps Nessa can give a more accurate response to this, but last I knew, tailgating was strictly forbidden when involving grilling and/or alcohol.

I would definitely say no on the grilling! It attracts too much attention!! Our group has mostly been left alone as far as our pking lot gatherings since we clean up and don't make a ruckus...  ;)

The wife, little one and I will be at the breakfast. We will bring an eggbake as we haven't seen any egg related item listed yet. We will keep it warm and bring some tobasco for those who like things spicy.

Is someone bringing paper plates of some sort?

We already decided not to grill - too much work anyway.  We will bring some banana bread (both with and without nuts), nuts and cheese - something easy since we are travelling in from out of town.

Not even a small glass of breakfast wine?  :-\

We are getting back from DC tonight so I won't have time to make anything. I'm going to bring fruit and milk...1% ok with everyone? It is like the compromise between the skim and 2% milk drinkers. Gotta have moo-juice for breakfast. I'll bring Ovaltine too. Fruit will be easy to eat finger fruit like grapes and strawberries. Hope that's OK. Planning on being there about 8am....so excited!

I don't know if we will make it up for breakfast.  We are planning on being there tomorrow, though it might be like the only day we actually get to go to fest.
So hopefully we will make it to breakfast and bring something with us, it will depend though on if Hannah is still not feeling good tomorrow.  She woke up with a bit of a fever today.
So we will see what happens, but we hope to see you all tomorrow

Here is where I make my usual reminder.

1) NO BOOZE OF ANY KIND AT ALL!!!  Just don't even try.  We do watch you guys (and all the other tailgaters)
2) Clean up!
3) Grilling is probably a bad idea
4) No booze!  It's worth saying again
5) No "structures".  No gazebos or canopy thingies
6) While you are out there...keep an eye out for scalpers.  We don't like them.  Call first aid/safety services - 952-445-2351.

Oh and program that number above into your phones for quick access to safety services if you have need of them.  Thanks!

It was fun mmeting all and spending some time together.  Sorry to those who we chased off, our son was anxious to get inside.

We did end up with a bit of fruit, muffins and silverware (the modern, 'tecnological' stuff).

Had a great time!!  :)

**Question**

While I normally can not participate in the breakfasts since I am in setting up the pub, so that means I also can not (or should not) organize anything... I was just wondering if a breakfast will be planned for Labor Day weekend when we have our AZ invasion? They took such good care of us when we were there in February, I would love to see MN keep on doing the same!!!

Pretty sure there was a breakfast last year, but my days, years are all running together..  ;)

Awesome meeting you all!!   ;D

We'll be there that weekend (ok, we'll be there every weekend) - so I would be up for another pot-luck style breakfast.

Anyone else interested?

Sorry for missing out guys! I drove up to site at 8:50 and had to book it to my stage. Had some intense all night sewing that was finally finished at 8:30 AM. Luckily I was at the parents place so I could make it on time! There is a 50% chance that I will be in town for labor day.
