I thought I knew most of the fairies on this years cast...saw one today that I absolutely didn't recongize from previous weekends, but she acted as if she knew me.
Gal with what looked like a green tree for a hat, and startling blue eye makeup.
Just really curious.
Yes saw her too. She was a new fairy of the day. I even say a new noble, where they visiting nobles? The same last week as the lady who rode in Hanks... err King Henry's and Queen Annes carriage.
Fairie is not new; every year she shows up halfway through the season. However, her costume is different.
Ahh! Old fairy, new outfit. Still, having a hell of a time recalling what she wore last time.
It's Gweniver! (sp)
Her name is Stephanie, she is Gweneviere (sp...that IS a hard one...kinda like Charlotte :P) She used to be Gweneviere with the now king, when he was playing King Arthur. She was also one of the queens back in 06 I believe. She was Katherine Howard for a weekend. Very lovey person. But she isn't on cast anymore. She comes out as this fairy character at least once a season though. :D And the nobles were actually Rodrick's parents visiting from the PA ren fest. They were also lovely people. ;D ;D ;D
She stopped by at our table at Chili's for dinner last night...it was odd because there were 3 Stephanies at the table...aaaagh!
yeah I met her at Chili's, she does henna too.
Which Chillis, assuming you mean the ones in the Springs.
now that would be just too much of the wierd. :) And yes, I remember the year we had the multi queens, that was great fun.
She's actually been around for many years. last year or two, only part time/occasional/off n on... but she has been on cast since before '00.... went fae in..04 or 05, I think.

Yes, the spelling for that name is hard, but for grammatical purposes, Guinevere is the official lettering for the name. The literal translation of it means "white fairy". She had a greeting I remember quite well which was sort of a redundant one. That was the character she played up to last year sort of. At least that is from my end of things.
For those more interested in the linguistics of the name, its originally a Welsh name, and it is spelled Gwenhwyfar and is pronounced like it looks nearly. Again the literal meaning is White Fairy or White Ghost.
Though I recall her being very green as of late. Must mention to keep out of the water near the wheel.
Just an FYI: Stephanie started on cast in 2001 when she was 16. I know as it was the same year I started at Colorado after moving from California.
