I had seen a couple 2 for ones but it was only for the first few weekends and there was a $5 or so shipping charge.
There is no link on the one you posted. Can you post it so we can use it?

There was a link to this deal at KTLK:
http://ccminn.halfoffdeals.com/index.php?index_type=promo-detail&pid=82775

Pay $19.95 for a $39.90 gift certificate for tickets. Only good for the first few weekends. Expires 9-7.

Also, there are only 8 left. I think I looked at this a couple days ago and it said there were 11 left.

Did anyone actually GET to use the KS95 one? It wont work fo rme either, and i tried at 6 am. I have a hard time believing they went THAT fast. Last year I had problems with their system too...

Anyways, I'm gonna keep trying, because it seems like its just a programming error.

Hi All,

I phoned the ticket peeps and they told me that the sale didnt start til 1:30pm today. No idea why they picked such a dumb start time, but yes, THE KS95 COUPON CODE SHOULD WORK NOW!!!

So, for those who may have missed the previous . . .

This is the renfest ticket price page (http://www.renaissancefest.com/MRF/tickets.html), Which leads to this online ticket agent page (https://tix.cnptix.com/tix/SilverStream/Pages/pgIndex.html?siteID=808) which you can purchase tickets.

After selecting "Purchase", you can use the KS95 code of KS95LLC to get the buy one get one free deal.  (it updates your tickets with a 16.95 credit for every 16.95 purchase you choose).

Anybody know if the name you put on the ticket is the actual person who has to use them if you do the KS95 bit?

I would say yes and no.  The name on the ticket is the person that has to pick it up.  Which does not indicate that the name on the ticket is the person who can use it.  Ticket booth (or the gate) does not check names on a ticket or ID's.

So, if I put my name on say 4 tickets, I can pick up four tickets at once?  Or will they act like the season pass and only give me one ticket?

They would give you four tickets.  And I believe you would get all four at once.

Festival isn't picky about the people they get through the gate.  If it is one person the same four times, or four people at once . . . they'd probably prefer the four people at once.  People spend more money when they are in a group and having fun.

I just put my own name on all the tickets and call it good.  Never had any trouble with checking ID or anything like that.  If there's a question just tell them you bought for your group.  Done.  You paid for the damn things, why shouldn't you be able to pick them up?  :)

Also, if you do need to change the names of the people, just use the PIN you create to change the name of the recipient. I did that last year when it wouldnt accept my canadian visa card, and had a friend in the USA buy them for me. Its a nice system, when it works!

Thanks for explaining how to use the code Escherblacksmith.
It sure helps the budget getting tickets 1/2 off of the advance tickets price.
Should be set for the season now.

Sadly, I tried the KS95 thing today and it did not work. I knew I should have done it when I first got their Loyal Listener email. Boo. :(

Just saw this come across the MRF listserve: $5 off tickets

If you go to http://www.bloomingtonmn.org and click on Deals and Packages (picture of three smiling shoppers), then scroll down and click on Destination Bloomington Coupons, then click on Download Now (you will need Adobe Reader and a working printer), and you will see several pages of coupons that you can print out, as many as you wish, for discounts on various attractions in and around Bloomington and the MOA.
