Right, so for a number of reasons, and without me even being at faire, Faire managed to make for a very poor weekend for me.
One of the reasons it between me and the people involved, so I wont waste time on it here. The other I can, saddly *only* address here.
I was informed by a delightful lady on sunday night that some gentleman ( I use the term loosely) "warned her about me" durring the run of festival. She found it amusing, especially since she and I have known each other for many years at this point. I, on the other hand, found it offensive and insulting.
Frankly, I'm sick of shiner bock from people at faire not only when I'm there, but even when I am miles away. I'm tired of people slandering what little good name I have. Who ever this boy is (I have my suspicions and believe him to be on here as well) grow a set of balls, quit making life difficult and unpleasant for me, and if you have a problem with me, say it to my face like a man, not a worm.
For those 99.9 percent of the people here who have no involvement with this situation, I apologize for bringing drama to your lives, however briefly, and return you to your regularly scheduled work week.

I personally, am sick of all the drama and rumors. RenFest used to be a place where everyone could be happy and be themselves, and now I feel a few select people feel they need to ruin it for everyone else.

I heard that about alice but it came from a shady person by the name of Bear.
Gosh Bear i have not been in the ren family as long as you and just after one year i drove me nuts. My problem was more people were spying on me and telling people what i was doing cause it wasn't the normal. So i like to wonder around just watching people and seem like i'm not enjoying myself but i am also i can be shy until i get to know people or the enviroment. Oh well i did come back but on a limited days where i have people to do things with so the spys don't have stuff to say.

Bear is a wonderful person, a fanstastic and loyal friend and an outstanding human being. There is nothing about him that anyone should have to warn others about...or whatever that nonsense was. If I ever find out who is talking crap about my friend....I'm afraid I might have to yell horrible words at them very loudly. >:(

hmmm ... someone warned her about you? I've always had a hankering for the kind of guys that others post warnings about. That "gentleman" must think she is socially incompetent and unable to make friendship choices all by herself. THOSE are the kind of people I avoid.
Sorry to hear about this, mate. I'm exceedingly tired of the rumor mill myself, although I have been lucky enough to avoid most of this sort of drama in the past. At the very least, I've remained blissfully ignorant of whatever rumors may have been flying about regarding myself. But it bothers me when I hear nasty stuff about others, especially when I happen to like them, but also occasionally when I don't. Gossip-mongering sucks.

As proof I offer that fact that there is neither a season ticket nor a "Friends of Faire" program, as there most assuredly would be if I were running the show.
