Title: For another family
Post by: white trillium on July 25, 2009, 03:24:13 PM
We received word last night that one of my husband's childhood friends lost their 14 year old son while he was hiking on a scouting trip.  He was 14, laughing and talking one minute and then gone.   He is survived by his parents, grandparents, 17 and 9 year old brothers.  Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you.

It has been an emotional not quite two weeks for our friends and for everyone whose lives were touched by this young man.  The visitation was last night and the service today, not a dry eye in the house.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they move forward without their son.

The community continued a tradition started when a little girl named Abby died:  http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/news/Loved_Ones_Hold_Vigil_for_Boy_Scout_august_03_2009

That is such tragic news. I will definitely keep this child's family in my thoughts and prayers during this very sad time in their lives.

It wrenches my heart to hear things like this, it really hits home as my children are 12 and 14. The thought is unbearable.  My condolences and prayers to the family.
