Title: QUICK - 2 Cats Need Homes - Arlington, TX
Post by: analise on July 30, 2009, 04:29:34 PM
I'm sorry this is way off topic from faire-related but...

I have a friend who's currently down in Arlington. Due to the economy, she was "downsized" out of her job a while back and is going to have to move back in with her parents and her father is very allergic so her two cats can't come with her. Cringer is older and Little Man is still a kitten. She's been trying to find a shelter to take them, but apparently all the no-kill shelters down there that she's called are full, or she's just getting the runaround. She has to leave town tomorrow (I know it's late), and it just occurred to me now to post this around and see if anybody out there could help, whether it's a permanent home or a temporary one until a permanent one can be found. Please help, if you can.

Here's what my friend has to say about them:

That is Cringer- about 6 years old
Neutered and declawed, up to date on shots
shy around kids, and takes a bit of warming up to new people but VERY loving and snuggles.

Little Man is a small orange tabby, very friendly and curious, about 8-9 mo. unneutured because I was laid off right before I was supposed to get it done. and I couldn't afford it. He's also rubbed a patch raw behind his ear that needs a vet. I just noticed that when I got back from Austin. He is up to date on shots.

If you can help or know someone that does, please contact EJ at heraldofzeus@gmail.com.

Just an update on the situation:

So my friend was able to talk her sister in Dallas/Fort Worth to take the cats in temporarily and try to find them a home. That said, if you know of someone who is a good home and is looking for a cat or two, please still contact her as, you know, they still need a permanent place to stay.
