Twig is going to have her very own booth at MNRF this year. Not sure what all that entails, but she mentioned it on facebook last night. I know there has been talk of a Twig calendar, maybe those will show up at her booth... anyway, woo!
I'm guessing T-shirts and Fairy dust. No denying her amazing talent, must admit it's nice to see a non-comedy act atain a certain level of appreciation!
Congrats to Twig!
Huzzah and yay for Twig!!
Twig with a booth? Has she gone commercial? I hope she doesn't end up looking like a Nascar driver with sponsor logos plastered all over her... :D
If it is like AZ, it will just be a wagon with someone selling her stuff. I guess faeries even have to make an extra buck or two during these times...
I'm hoping for a Twig mug for use at work.
I'll be looking forward to seeing her booth!
Yay for Twig!!
Now in other "Have You Heard" news of the realm. Just found out that Irish Cottage will have a complete cast change. All performers from Irish will be offerred a street contract.
This is very sad news (and I believe Nessa will concure). Nights Safety Services were always welcomed there after hours.

I was curious about that myself...
Me, too. I'm going to miss Maggie's cooking.
Jack, weren't you going to be working with them until willin and I got so lucky as to snag you?
Nickie, that was the plan until the audition fell through. I'm glad it did now!
Hopefully that will remain so! ;)
No word as to who will be running it and what they will be doing there.
a note that went to the MRF listserve about the Irish Cottage . . .
QuoteOn behalf of Jim & Becca, who have been running Irish
Cottage for the past several years:
Hello ever-buddy, I thought I should check in and say a few things.
Yes, Irish Cottage is in new hands. That is the way things transition and
become new. We all know that nothing is forever, except for family and
friends. We knew this, and we are okay with the changes in our lives that
are normal and eventual.
Same for Irish Cottage. We knew that change was in the wind. Becca and I are
fine. We just need to change gears and move on.
We were offered street contracts and are happy that we can still be part of
Fest entertainment. We already have plans to have a fun, productive role for
fest.
Please understand that the changes at Cottage part of what has been
happening at Fest since it all started. Renewal keeps the show fresh and
interesting for the everyone. Becca and I would like to thank Mid Am
Festivals for letting have our way about almost everything we have wanted to
do for the last seven years and for the support we've gotten from Carr and
Bonnie. They trusted us a very great deal and in this business it matters.
It sure mattered to us and we won't forget it. No regrets, no hard feelings.
This is show business and we are going to be out doing new things.
Please help Becca and I as we support and welcome the new members of this
years cast at Fest and at Irish Cottage. They will need, and the deserve,
our best wishes and support. Also, please support Carr and the vision he has
for our Festival. We will see you on the Streets.
Love you all.
Jim "Taffy" and Becca "Maggie" Hughes
Now there is the definition of "Class Act".
More proof of the professional caliber performers we are lucky enough to have in our midst.
