Title: Irish Faire
Post by: HannahLeeDee on August 04, 2009, 02:38:32 PM
Has anyone gone to the Irish Faire in St. Paul? I have never been there and am going with a friend this Friday? Are there any must sees, must do, and must eat? We are both new to it.

Thanks a ton!
Hannah

Milk & Cookies. Seriously. The line will probably be long because everyone uses up their extra tickets there, but it's worth the wait. Soooo good!

I highly recommend The Langer's Ball and The Hounds of Finn for local musicians! Maybe I'll run in to some of you there!

I have to do a location shoot on Sunday, so we're probably going to head out to the fair tomorrow instead.  Hope to see a few of you there!

Yea... ask me and VV about the kilt!

We were standing at the beer tent and waaaaaaayyy across the festival area we see "some guy" wearing a bright orange/camo utilikilt.  Look, I say to my dear husband, he's easy to find!   Turns out it was our very own Deadbishop!   Huzzah!

We only spent a couple of hours at the festival because of the weather but the music was amazing.  The young dance teams were incredible-these kids had it down!  What fun to watch them.  The food, well, let's just say it was incredibly over priced.

We'll go again next year and hope the weather is a bit more hospitable.

*note*  I just did a spell check on here and it wanted to change "utilikilt" to "audiologist"   WTH?!  ???

We went out for a little while today. The weather was much better than yesterday, but still pretty hot. Rob and Trip, who are both much more sensitive to the hea than I am, are currently passed out on the couch and floor, respectively. :) We basically wandered through the shops (didn't buy anything, although every year I have to restrain myself from buying a bodhran....some year I'll have extra $ to get one...), had some lemondate and cookies, and listened to the Makem and Spain Brothers for awhile. Twas a good time!

I wanted to go but ended up taking Lauren to the ER for stitches, we were in St Paul but thought it better to go to the falls instead which was gushing. I have never seen it flow that hard before. Taking the kids back tomorrow with the camera as we ran out the door to fast for me to grab one on the way to the ER. Maybe next year I will make this one. Now to get ready for the big fest woot!
