Just followed this trailer home from myspace and... OMFureakkin'G!!! Woody Harrelson as the Zombie Slayer (http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/zombieland/trailer)?!?!? :o ROFL How has this not been posted by anyone else here, yet?!? Usually I'm the last one to hear about new movies, and horror/comedy doesn't generally register, but this one hit even my radar!
October 9th... Dunno about you all, but I am SOOOO there!
Aaaaahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Hahaha! That looks awesome! I can't wait to see this.
This does look AWESOME! I love zombie movies & I love Woody Harrelson! It should be a lot of fun! ;)
Dude, this seems utterly ridiculous!!! I actually hate zombie movies, but this might be kind of funny. It's not a zombie horror flick, it's a zombie silly flick.... PLus I love woody harleson!
I was at the theatre Wednesday and saw the poster. I LOVE Zombie movies! Can't want to see it.
Where are all the Zombie-philes?!? I thought they never missed a Z-day post... ::) LOL
This movie looks like it's gonna be hilarious!!! Just the trailer left me laughing so hard it hurt... just a little! :D I can't wait!!!
Oh yeah, now that I see the trailer again, I remember seeing this trailer at a movie awhile ago. I'm pretty sure we'll be going to this one. It looks fun and my hubby loves these zombie flicks. :D
Its been on my list since Io9.com did a synopsis. It's gonna be awesome.
Speaking of zombie movies have you guys heard that World War Z is getting a movie? I hope it doesn't stray far from Max Brooks's depiction. He is one of the best Z writers out there.
I dunno... I'm kinda girly when it comes to the real Zombie stuff... :o but Zombie comedy is something else entirely! (too many Zombie nightmares as a kid...LOL) I'd probably watch it, though... and have more nightmares, anyway... ::)
I'ld suggest Fido, Dead and Breakfast, Army of Darkness, and of course Shaun of the dead. All great zombie comedies...(popcorn movies)
I've got a soft spot for the zombie movies. :)
I don't mind the scary stuff... just so long as I've got someone to hold onto... ;) ROFL
I think this movie looks awesome, in spite of the fact that Woody Harrelson is in it... ::)
Zombie stuff is a guilty pleasure of mine, in fact, I belong to a forum where people discuss the "what ifs" of possible real life zombie attacks, and actually prepare themselves for the coming zombie apocolypse as if it were going to happen... :D
Wait... are you saying that there are people who think Z-day might actually NOT happen?!? :o

I suppose not if...just
when... :D
Whew... 'cuz I'd hate to think I wasted so much effort putting together my Zombie Survival Preparedness Kit! ;)
Really good baseball bats are not so easy to come by these days, you know... :P
... and neither are hand-held flamethrowers...
It's all about a good pole arm and a reliable 12 ga. ( I share the guilty pleasure)
My Zombie plan...oil rig, some scuba gear, Desalinator, and a couple of fiesties ladies.
I have a Z-Day schedule, myself... (which also works well for foreign invasion, civil war, para-military coup, etc...) bolt cutters, U-Haul, Hardware store, sporting goods store, Wal-Mart, toilet paper outlet... ;D
Those are the basics, anyway... LOL
I had the perfect Z-Day plan when I was on the Island. Limited amount of zombies (c'mon! some of those guys have been dead since the 1800's), large ferries for getting to and from the island, you could sink most of the docks leaving one or two safe places to put in, and there's a BIG FREAKIN MILITARY FORT there!!! It may be old, but it's still at the top of a hill and surrounded by stone walls.
'Course, now that I'm back in the real world, I'll hafta re-think things a bit. My parents house could be made very Zombie proof...given about 24 hours notice. ::)
that movie looks great I can't wait to see this one, almost has a Shaun of the dead vibe ;D
I'm hoping it's a little more tongue-in-cheek, and a little less far-to-obvious slapstick, though... I like at least a little subtlety in my comedy! Maybe I'm a zombie snob, though... :P
I'm planning to see this movie, too, just maybe not in the theater.
As for preparedness, I'll have to rely on a leatherman, a machete, a 12 gauge and all the shells I can carry. I'm in trouble for food and defensible shelter, so I might be going out with a bang if the situation is severe.
So... this seems like a pretty good place to discuss Z-Day survival... Anyone have other plans on the drawing board?!? Share the wealth, or at least the ideas!!! LOL

My feelings exactly!
Oh, for the record...I can't believe no one has mentioned the number one close quarters zombie survival tool...a trusty Huskavarna chain saw. You'll never run out of ammo, gas maybe but not ammo.
I'm tellin' ya... no one ever survives the close quarters stuff! Far too many zombies, not enough gas tank capacity, and if it's electric then the undead always find a way to cut the cord... ::)
Nope, I'll be sitting on the roof of my high rise, fire proof, moat protected, well booby trapped, razor wire encircled stronghold... with my handy-dandy rocket launcher, and just take 'em out a city block at a time...
Hey, it's a great plan... :P
Hmmmm, let's see... *rumaging around in closet* Rifles... check. Shotguns... check. Handguns... check. Clips, clips and more clips... check. Cases of ammo... check. Swords... check. Axes & tomahawks... check. *digs deeper* Warhammers... check. Blunt instruments... check. Leather clothing(keeps out the teeth)... check. Food... check. Water... check. Miscellaneous emergency supplies... check.
Civil war, armed insurrection, terrorist attack, riots, hurricanes, zombie hordes... i plan for everything in a general kind of way . ;D
Fraser, I think I want you on my team, k?!? :o :D
Don't worry, I'll let you in before i close the siege(storm) shutters and bar all the doors. ;D There isn't a pass word... if you can talk, you're not a zombie.
Now my place isn't big enough to stockpile enough Doritos and M&M's ammunition to outlast the Zombie hordes, so I plan to go mobile. Got my bugout bag packed and ready. A crowbar is my weapon of choice along with a hatchet. Good for killing Zombies and for breaking into shops for supplies. Of course I'm hoping for the slow shuffling Romero kind of Zombies rather than the fast running and thinking Dawn of the Dead dudes.
Oh, yeah. Can't forget some good reading material for the holdout.

I suggest a 22 Long Rifle for the Zombies most 22 rifles and pistols hold lots of ammo makes little noise to draw attention of other zombies, and since its head shots only you don't need a lot of stopping power. For up close and personal my choice is a warhammer also handly for breaking into stores and other places for supplies. Football sholder pads work great for keeping the zombies off the neck works well for vampires too.
Well if I had my pick I would pick up an AA12 if I could get my hands on one. YouTube future weapons AA12. Be prepared to drool a little.
and about 500 rounds of Frag-12 to go with it.
Here are a couple promos for the Zombieland movie that are pretty entertaining.
