Reve du Faun is trying to reestablish an old tradition of the 5:30 "Mayhem" jam session at the Boar's Head pub. Mayhem used to be a chance for all fest musicians to get together on site and jam after their scheduled shows were over and before closing gate show started.
They would drop the cheesy fake accents and folk music, and just jam for fun for a half hour or so. Last night it ranged from a bluesy rock cover of "Wild Rover," to a Fleetwood Mac cover by Reve du Faun, and Stephen Brust's song "Pukin' in the Heather" done with chipmunk voices!?! Check it out if you're on site later in the day.
Also heard there's a seisun at 5 at the Irish Cottage. Haven't been over to check it out yet, but evidently patrons are allowed to participate on Sundays. Should be interesting.
"Seisun"? My brief google search was unable to enlighten me. What is this?
"seisiún" -Irish/Gaelic word for an Irish/Celtic music session or jam. A traditional seisiún usually leans more toward just instrumental music of jigs and reels and suchlike

What he said. :) Pardon my lack of accents and missing i. Irish has so many vowels...
Could be worse, could be Welsh and not have any vowels ;D
Haha, good point!
