Shameless plug for my sister-in-law's helper at MNRF. She has been doing non-period, just-for-fun bloomers in fun printed fabrics (with a pocket in them) the last couple years. My wife picked up a pair that had playing cards printed on them (including some pics of the French cards we sell!) and wears them as PJ bottoms. She has stuff ranging from sushi prints to flames. She's also doing some 18th century "pockets" -i.e. pouches that were worn hung from the waist under the side hoops of woman's skirt and were reached through small slits in the skirt.
I saw them in Laura's shop. Darling!!!
We might be talking about adding some other things for next year. Right now, she is fixing a girdle belt for me I bought from her 4 years ago that came undone at the center.
I got a pair!!!! The pockets a waaay cool.
;Dmine have wee sheep on them
You didn't tell us where we could find these deilghtful treasures!
GP...where might we find her?
Laura's shoppe is Olde World Wear. Down the same lane from the new Mead Booth/Pub that is next to the Bad Manor. If go go past the shoppe with all the colorful flags, you have gone too far. Hope that helps.
Laura has been my source of inspiration for over 13 years when I first laid eyes on her beautiful work.
Definitely checking these out this weekend!
Its the store just to the left of GP's place.
And the bloomers are super cute. And most have a little pin on them too with a cute little saying that you could wear on your outerwear and has something to do with the pattern of your "under" wear.
Yup they're right next to us booth 635. My sister-in-law isn't doing as much custom work these days since she's going to nursing school, but here's her website http://oldeworldwear.com/ (although the bloomers aren't on it)
how odd the timing of this topic!!!

Whoot! I bought my bloomers yesterday! Will post a pic when I get them tried on. Very fun selection of fabrics!
I washed my new bloomers (along with the rest of my garb from my recent visit...finally done with the warshing..sheesh) and they are super soft and lovely color-fast pretty. The pockets are really really extraordinary and I've all kinds of new thoughts and fascinating things to hide in them next season ;)
One of the many best buys I've made at MNRF.
Nyte got a pair today. Now I can literally call her "crabby pants" and not get in trouble for it... ;D
The crab ones were so cute - love that print =)
