I think some recipes for Loki might still be secret; but most of them are pretty well known by now.
According to the mixologist and creator, the name is
properly 'Loki's Revenge', and the "secret" is a secret no longer. In fact,
there are Loki Competitions and a wide variety of flavor variations these
days, but the original recipe (and my personal favorite) is as follows:

One gallon of Water
One 4lb bag of Sugar
One cup of Vanilla Extract
One cup of Almond Extract
1,500 ml (two fifths) of Everclear

1. Mix Water and Sugar together in a large pot over a medium heat. Ensure
that all the Sugar melts.
2. Allow to cool completely.
3. Add the Extracts and Everclear.
4. Bottle and store for at least a month, three or more preferably. This
will produce about two gallons of Loki, so be prepared with enough containers.
5. Drink responsibly.

For some reason the phases of the moon and the mind set of those involved in
the mixing seem to have an effect on the outcome of the potency, flavor and
smoothness of the finished product. Try this as a group effort and see what
you can come up with...

If there is an officially released recipe for Loki, can the other variations legitimately be called Loki as well?

"Happy Get Drunk Before You Know It Yum-Yum" sounds like a good name for something those who cannot stand the taste of alcohol would enjoy.  No idea what would go into it, tho...  Probably some Pucker somewhere.
