Look for "hat blanks." If it didn't compete with last weekend of MNRF this year, I'ld say go to the Big Island Rendezvous in Albert Lea and you would find lots of them probably in $15-$25 range.

Thanks Groomporter, that is the place I found in a search. This will be my winter project of coming up with a design and embellishing it.

Got mine at the New Ulm 'pioneer ?' trade show last late winter / spring. GP had a booth there.
