Title: Snow Day
Post by: Francisco Paula on October 28, 2009, 12:46:21 PM
So with this little snow storm in denver all the school districts closed but Littleton Public Schools that i work for. Sigh. So now they are sending the high and middle schools home cause they have been getting complaints from parents wanting to know why we didn't close.

Fun fun fun

Yes the HS were let out at 12:30 the middle at 1:30 elementary kept in. I will get out 45 minutes earlier then normal. To me it really dosn't matter weither i'm here or not, before i worked for the school i drove in worse and 5 times farthur to get to work. Of course we normally look to see what cherry creek or denver school distruct does and they are all on break. heheh

I made my own snow day today. Well, actually, my head made the snow day. Working with a migraine sucks, but driving in the snow and then working with a migraine just wasn't going to happen. So, I've gotten to enjoy the snow from my couch with hot coffee and muffins.

Maybe where you live...;)

All my classes were canceled yesterday, but they were all on today and the conditions are definitely worse today.  I'm most annoyed.  Oh well, they're over now, and I can make myself a warm cozy shut-in for the rest of the day.  That is as soon as I take out the recycling...after yesterday's snow day it looks like a bunch of alcoholics live here.   ???  How could that be...

I stayed home today ;D (I really don't like driving on ice). Tomorrow though I must escape the house and hunt for more hamsters/or gerbils. I may cross breed them...

I stayed home as I didn't want to brave a 40 mile drive to work. Went sideways down 287 just north west of Berthoud on Wednesday and that scared the crap out of me and made my heart beat faster. The Place I actually work for tried to lay the guilt trip on me yesterday when I called in. but oh well it's a crappy place with a horrid receptionist who is a total belch when answering the phone. Oh well back to work today.
