Like most people here I would love to go every weekend but I can't because of the distance and the wheelchair so...I would like to know if there will be a meet up place, and what weekend will most of you be there so I can meet most if not all of you, and get an RF pin? I have to make arrangements with friends.
Well, I WILL be there every Saturday. Look forward to meeting you.
As for the RF pins, I believe that you order them on line here on the forum.
Generally, there is a meet and greet at noon at the Lady of the Rings booth. Additionally she flies an RF banner and has a log book for forum members to sign in on so we all know who is there that day, even if we are off wandering the lanes.
It's not "Lady of the Rings"... ;D
It's "Things From Ring" and it's run by Ladyfair and her husband Dave. ;) ;D
You would have to check with her as sometimes they do have pins with them.
Or you can go to THIS THREAD (http://www.renaissancefestival.com/forums/index.php?topic=210.0)and you can order one from Deadbisop... ;D
Lady Donegan, I'll be there the weekend of March 13-14, guaranteed. It would be a pleasure to finally meet you after all these years!
Aye, the weekend of Mar 13-14 is going to be the St Molden's Day Invasion
It's also a M'Crack Family Gathering and there'll be a LOT of fun and frolic going on...
you should come on out that weekend if you can only do one...
it'll start the Friday before and run into that Sunday eve
Like Squire Mickey, I shall be there every Saturday, and possibly a Sunday or two.
Will be nice to meet new faces, and see familiar ones as well.
Lady Donegan, I'd say your best best would be St Moldens, though opening weekend or closing weekend is a good bet too. I can't give any definites myself this early in the game, but I do hope we have the chance to meet this season!
The only answer I can give is in the negative.
We definitely won't be there Feb 20/21 as we'll be in New Jersey for Jeff Mach's Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire V: The Mad Tea Party (http://www.wickedfaire.com/2010/).
Well let me see, Clan M'Crack Family Gathering is the 13th and 14th.....Peddlin and I and Pinn'n, Chuck'n and Bee'n plan to make the trip.
Zounds, and if we're not all lookin' forward to seein' ye, too, TJ!
Lady Donegan, I and a few of the others can be counted (lol pun!) upon to be there every single day it's open so... if ye seek company ANY weekend... do not hesitate to seek us out.
I'll be there St. Patrick's Day weekend(on Sunday), and then again on the final day of the festival.
Every weekend, and probably Festival Friday -- 'cause I can! :)
Look for the gal in pink! ;D
We will definitely be there Irish weekend to celebrate my birthday. (My father says I'm a good Irish girl being born on St. Patricks Day. ;D ) No other dates are definite yet.
then you'll be there for St. Molden's!!!
I am counting the months.
AH, Things from RIngs...
Since I am petitioning Clan McCrack, I will simply state the McCrack moto..."It's not my fault, I may have been drinking..."
The themes for each weekend have been posted now lass, so if there be something that tickles yer fancy, that may help ye set yer course...
Can't wait... it's getting close
no matter which weekend...
I'm set for St. Molden's! I can hardly wait! It's going to be one for the books! ;D

keep this up and Madge Estes will be ordering extra sets of Musical Men!
Well this isn't official just yet as we have to make sure everything works out but right now it looks like m'lady and I will be coming down from Virginia for the opening weekend! Haven't been to the faire before so we are really looking forward to seeing it! I can't tell from their web site and I'm too lazy to spend time looking here on the site but is BARF based on Elizabethan, Henrican, Fantasy or what? Hope it all works out and we can make it. This is one we've been wanting to get to for a while!
It'll be so nice to meet you! Hope you can make it.
Our faire is set during Henry's time and our Queen is Catherine...Howard I think? If you make it for opening weekend you'll be here for the Highland Fling.

Well I'm looking forward to meeting everyone too however becuase the wife didn't get the request in quick enough, somebody else grabbed that weekend so she has to work. :( Looks like the following weekend right now Feb 20-21. Can't go too much later or it gets into VARF prep and then we can't go so hope this gets finalized soon.
Crossing fingers that I will be able to attend every weekend most likely on Saturdays. I have already requested Faire Friday off so I will definitely be there then, as I can keep the kids in school and have a me and the hubby day at faire.
Well James, let us know when you know for certain. My schedule at faire is going to be light this year, but I'll try to be there at least one day to take a turn at showing you our faire. I'm sure you'll have no want for company regardless, :) but still it'd be fun.

My wife Julie and I have opening weekend (Feb. 13) penciled in, and fully expect to be there, if only to dispel rumors that we don't really live in Florida and go to BARF.
Providing my son does not have a soccer game (his last season!) on St. Molden's Day, I will plan to attend on that date as well.

Subject: Hello!
Hello Audra!
Hope you are enjoying your new role!
I wanted to see if we might be able to bring a rather large party into the Kilt in Carrollwood on Friday March 12th at 7:00 PM.
I have a group coming in from out of town for an "invasion" of the Bay Area Ren Fair. The group is called the Clan M'Crack. They have a national membership of near 800 members.
Here is the thing, we will have between 50-75 people here. We don't need to all be seated at the same time, but would like to be together in an area that we can mill around and interact as well as sit down and eat for those who want to do that.
Is it possible to reserve out the patio? As I know that there are smokers in the group.
Oh and the kicker????
All the men will be wearing kilts (its required for members) including yours truly.
Let me know what you think. Last year they drank the Beef O Brady's out of Guinness, so we don't want to repeat that!
Mickey
I'll be there St. Molden's ! ;) Can't wait!

Well hey stranger! Nice to see you Mmketeer. :)
Thanks Anna, it's good to be back. ;) I won't be going as much this year, so we'll have to make sure we make it out on the same day at least once during BARF. ;)
PS
I won't be there opening weekend, cause I believe that's Valentine's Day weekend and also the Daytona 500 weekend! ;)

Good gracious, looks like I better come as the whole clan here looks as though they may need a bail out! LOL!
It would be good to see you again! :D Thanks, maybe it's just me but it didn't seem to take as long for BARF to get here again this year. Looking forward to seeing you too.
NO! we won't need no stinkin' bail money! (hehee) ;) ;D
For those who are not terribly familiar with the M'Cracks, I just wanted to point out that you don't actually have to be family to attend the family gathering. FoCMs and even normal people are invited to join us! Just sign the waiver that says you do this at your own risk, and we are not responsible. WE MIGHT HAVE BEEN DRINKIN'! ::)

Go Julia!
AAWWWW man.............now that you've let the secret out we are going to have to get more of those things printed out.
Waiver? We don't need no stinkin' waivers!
I found out today that my first trip to BARF will be Saturday 20th, since I have off from work. I'm looking forward to it!

But then everyone will be looking at your ankles, not the shoes... :o Can't wait to see you!
So I found out I will be able to be there both the 20th and 21st, in addition to the 13th and 14th. I'm thinking I might make the gamble that I'll have another weekend day off and buy the season pass. Are there any additional benefits that come with it?
If all goes well I am planning on attending myself
BTW - how does the gig work on getting tix to The Queen's Tea on the 13th (St. Molden's Weekend)?? I dinna wanna miss that one!
I'm bringin' a "friend" ...

Is'nt it great to have a quick duck once in a while.
You can either call the office 800-779-4910 and buy Queen's Tea tickets in advance, or you can purchase them the day of from one of the peddlars. You can find them either up at the front gate or in front of the queen's tea tent. Tickets are $10.
Unfortunately there is not enough room in the new Queen's Tea tent for a gam eof Musical Men... Guess that means we'll just have to do it in the lanes at some point! I'll keep you posted as to time!
Prey tell, Your Majesty, What is Musical men and how is it played?
I LOVE Musical Men! I'll just make sure not to be between Kitten and Escarlata. My hips STILL hurt from those hip checks!
I regret to say that my "Maybe" is being changed to an "Unable to Attend" for St Molden's weekend. :(
I'm sorry to hear that, I was really looking forward to meeting you.
Oh, thank you, Jessi! I've been really looking forward to it, also, but I'm having to save money for the deposit on my new place, so the drive down there is just too expensive right now. I do get a shorter road trip, though, just two states over to Mississippi to visit my childhood sweetheart, so it will at least feel like a special occasion. Maybe next season... :)

And don't forget the legendary Wenchie vs. Escarlata showdown! :D
From 2007 musical men...

One succubus..one wench...and a dude with a collapsible knee.
Ya gotta love the look on Esc's face though.... :D
There was one of those LAST year too. We tried to get Wenchie on to an available knee but she must've thought it was the same thing all over again... then the knee was taken.
Yeah, why do I always end up on the ground? :D

Oh this picture makes me laugh. The looks on faces, hands trying to help you over to JL's knee before someone else got there. We tried, babe, we tried.
Jessi, Musical men is like musical chairs, but instead of chairs we sit on... well, you get it, right? ;)
Musical Men was spectacular, yet again, this past weekend!
I forgot all about musical men and the group photo and I missed them both!! :'(
Oh my goodness WW, you do seem to be in the mulch alot "during that game". <BG> Thought I'd better clarify that. LOL But, if it makes you feel any better we have all been bumped once or twice. Shall I dare to say even our fair queen has had the honor from me, by all people (I still blame Esc for that one though). LOL!
So I am dying to know, who one this year? Sorry I missed it, it's always so much fun to watch and play!
Maybe I'll see ya Sunday, I think Squire Mickey is gonna help get me tickets to finally come out. ;)

Wow, the magic of Pink! ;)
Thanks for the info eloquentXI and congrats to Katie this year's master of musical men.
Huzzah!
All I can remember is Molden making 'geese' puppets wtih his hands and telling me his friend brought along a friend...
All with that evil grin and a 'heh, heh, heh'.....
