So I wasn't quite sure where to put this, but I just found out last night about an event happening today in Edmond, OK. Apparently, someone from Oklahoma Christian University has written a symphony for violin and orchestra in honor of the 500th anniversary of the building of the Mary Rose. There will be a concert of the symphony, as well as an exhibit that has been brought over from the museum in Portsmouth.
As part of the exhibit, I (and other members of the group I am in, the Let's Pretend Players) have been asked to dress up as English nobles. I'm not exactly sure all the details, but I thought it was funny that they were going to costume us from the stores of Okloahoma Shakespeare in the Park. I mentioned I happen to have my own Tudor gown, and they were delighted!
