My kids have already pre-ordered the next volume. As a librarian, I was reading one of the ordering journals we get, and I had seen the next one was coming out in September, I think, so I texted them about it. Both of them instantly texted back with PREORDERED! I'm grateful to have raised readers :)

I am reading the villain series also. It's fun, makes me giggle sometimes. Doesn't take itself too seriously. I'm enjoying it. It's a nice change of pace from a lot of the other books I read.

Air conditioners, making the hours between sunrise and sunset bearable in Texas since 1912. I find the world is more bearable when I add rum.

The Henson one was ok, but we weren't able to have our discussion because the library lost power that day, so we closed early. Due to the high number of programs we have, it would have been tricky to find a time to re-schedule, so let it go. I've gotten through 2 books of the Villain series by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, which my adult kids recommended. It started life as a series of TikTok (pretty sure not Instagram) videos of the author doing the story as a series of skits. It grew so popular that she wrote the first book,  Assistant to the Villain, which remained popular enough to support a whole series. They are romantasy, which is a very popular genre now. Fun, but with characters more fleshed out that you might expect. I'm not a romance type, but I am enjoying the series.
