[Element of Air]

I am not sure who has been informed or who knows, but I am assistant manager for Fire Gems booth 103 at Scarby, right next to Ophelia's Fyne Clothing, the Bakery, Safer Swords, and The Wishing well. Due to the economy and Scarby being, well, slow and delayed in their issuing of booths, Fire Gems (the Dichroic Art Glass Jewelry Shop) will not be at Scarby for the 2009 season.

I will not be working this season as it seems at this point in time. I am dedicated to my shop and even though I have received many offers from friends and neighboring shops to work for them I simply can not afford it. Also out of boycotting Scarby (not sure if that is the right word) for being so unorganized in their 2009 season set up.

With the way the economy is playing and my other half, O'Riley, not able to locate a job with this recession we can not afford to travel to fair or use the weekend to take away from a potential work day if an employer wants him for weekends.

Chris O'Riley and I will try to make it up at least once if we can but times are very difficult for us at the moment and we really are struggling to stay alive (so it seems).

Thank you all for your understanding and I hope that everyone has a great 2009 Scarborough Season. We will miss all of you.

I am so sorry to hear this!!!  We will miss you both dearly!!!  Please do let us know which weekend you'll be coming and we'll try to be there then too.  We are probably only going 2 weekends or so this season also due to the economy and our friends not being able to take their camper up more times either.

As sad as I was when you told me a month ago, I know that you are doing what is best for the both of you. Tough time all around, but even in our worst moments, we hold dear those times together and hope that the in between passes swiftly by.
