Hah! She's been asking for a pony since she was 3! Luckily there are horses there that she can ride. Not one minute out of the Jeep and she was on horse back! No wonder she loves it so much. Well, that and the freedom to be a kid and get dirty. lol

I am so glad things are looking so much brighter for you both, sweetie!!! The farm sounds like the perfect place for both of you to relax and unwind, and you should try to spend lots of time there! Exercise is one of the best stress reducers there is!

Well FairyFly it sounds like the two of you have adjusted pretty well to the Florida lifestyle. I must say that I am very proud of you both and especially the little one for the progress she has made. Like everyone else has said it should feel good knowing that there are other kids down there who have this same problem as Tiger and that she is the not the only one to be look at in the category.

You two continue to be in my thoughts as well.

I'm working on getting Tiger registered for school. Again. The school I wanted her to go to can't take her because of her lunch time insulin shot. So I'm registering her today for the other school in the area. So far it sounds good. Much smaller classes than she had in CO or NJ. We'll see how it goes.

I'm so glad things are looking up!  It's nice that she has some other people around now who are diabetic as well - helps to not feel so lonely in this.  And yay for those perfect levels - I definitely think things like mood/stress level/etc play a huge part in the numbers, so it's good she is feeling happier.  I hope things get better and better.

Indeed we did. We got to spend not nearly enough time with chosen family. Tigerfairy's numbers were phenomenal all weekend. They're home from school, things went well, they're sitting on the porch in the swing working on homework.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the absence. We had an awesome time at faire! And so far, so good with school. This new school has some great rules! They make sure the kids know that THEY are responsible for their own work and success. There's plenty of help when it's needed, but ultimately the kids have to do the work. Tiger likes her class mates, teacher and THE NURSE!!! YEY!!! I'm amazed at the change in her!

As for me, I'm doing pretty good. I've applied for a few jobs that I now get to reapply for thanks to my phone company accidentally changing my phone number before I wanted them to... Grrr The homework fight with the little one is annoying, but I can see in just two days that she's at least trying to buckle down more. The only thing that's bums me out every now and then is that I have not been hearing from my Scout like I had been. Today I finally got word from him, after two weeks of silence. SO I'm feeling Much better than I was! Just wish it had been more than three sentences. lol But they were good sentences, so it makes up for the not so long thing.
