Well anyway...I just hope Lolly will be performing in some capacity ...she's just too good not to be.  Any Renaissance Festival is the better to have her....regardless of her role.

Same could be said of you and the Marquis!

awwww :-*
You are too kind!

I have to tell (warn?) all the MNRF'ers that the Marquis has expanded his French contingency.   More cousins will likely be making their debut with us during Labour Day Weekend.

So no more jokes about gigging frogs!  ::)

Reposted from the MNRF participants Elist:

An official announcement has been made on the Facebook page Minnesota
Renaissance Festival Performing Cast
. We have a new Queen!

From that page:
"I am announcing this here, assuming it will propagate to the rest of the cast.

We had a brief meeting with the MRF Court this morning, and we announced that
Linda Clayton will be our next Queen. However, we will not have a Queen for the
2009 season, instead we are going to have a "courting" year in which our King
will discover and eventually ask for Linda's hand at marriage. The marriage will
happen in 2010, hopefully a big ceremony and any other fun we can have with it
(John..a bachelor party perhaps!)

There are many things to work out, but that is the plan. Linda did not campaign
for the roll, but was amongst several considered. We opted out of auditions,
preferring to stay within our ranks.

I'm sure this will make it's way through the festival conversation and I would
hope that we'd all help Linda, John and the Court make the best of this. We'll
have some fun!

Cheers!

Carr"

2010 sounds like it could be a real blast!

The "courting" part has me a tad concerned...My wife and her friends have made a few comments about the King's...uhum, *cough*...arse...*cough*.   ;D

Oh yes ND...  I believe Syn and I snapped a or two photo of our King's best side last year.  ;D The man can wear a pair of hose.

Wow, so we're going to have a crazy queen?  ;D  Will the king be courting Antonia the Painter, or will she drop that character to become someone else for the king to court?

I was curious about that as well, somehow I suspect she will drop being Antonia the Painter.  Love my conquer all but I don't think insanity is included in "all"

Is Linda Clayton "Antonia the Painter"?  God I hope not...I love that character!

In truth all things change or they become stale.  I love seeing "Antonia" and would regret her parting but there are a lot of "old" characters long gone I miss too.  Still if they did not part I would never get to see the new characters I have come to love!

Change is a very bad thing, but no change is worse.

I don't know; I think the king attempting to court Antonia would make for a very interesting faire season... :D

I don't know DB, she might just "Brush him off".   ;D

It's true. There is a new "Queen-in-training" This year will be a "courting time" with the "Wedding" in 2010.
