Help - any garb merchants for grand-sized gentlemen?

I have managed to assemble my own garb (for the first time ever!), but somehow blanked and have now run short on having my husband similarly attired in time for our visit on Highland Fling Saturday. Time got terribly away from me and my sewing skills are thus far limited to skirts.

So I have stopped in to ask: are there any garb vendors at Scarb this year who can accommodate a gentleman of a grand size all around? Or, failing that, any suggestions (in Houston, which is home, or Fort Worth/NE Tarrant, where we're staying) of where we can get something that would suffice? He is simply in need of a shirt and (preferably long) breeches.

I have looked online at many vendors, and even those who list standard sizes that would qualify as "big and tall" usually don't quite reach to my beloved's size. I would be happy to provide a few measurements by RenMail, if you have suggestions.

(Would it be acceptable to cross-post in the TRF forum for more help from Houston locals? I'm still a n00b on the boards and don't want to break protocol.)

Thanks in advance - looking forward to seeing many of you next weekend!

Try Authentic Wardrobe at Scarby. Across from the Maypole! Ivy can custom make anything!  I think their kilts might fit a grand sized gentleman!

Tis not the length of the staff- but the magick there in!

Thank you so much! We will check it out. We have made arrangements for now, but we'll always need suggestions. (I'd love it if I could talk him into a kilt!)

Thanks also to the folks who sent PMs. The help and warm welcome are greatly appreciated!

The Queen Own Highlanders form up for parade just below the falconner stage bring him by and we'll have a couple of dozen scotsmen in kilt tell him just how great it is to wear a kilt.   There will also be a few dozen ladies standing around to tell him how much they like their men in kilt.
Beware of him that is slow to anger: He is angry for something, and will not be pleased for nothing.

I am thinking I can talk him into a kilt- being Queen and all!
A wee drop of Scotch might help! Laddies look grand in a kilt!  He should give it a try!

My lord and lady, I would be ever in your debt! He seems to have some idea that since he is nae a Scot...he shouldn't wear one. All this despite my very loudly professed affinity for lads wearing the garment (including several denizens, past and present, of Scarborough's stages)!

One last post on the subject - crisis averted! RenShirts.com (from whom I ordered just before receiving a recommendation from the illustrious *Teach*) came through with a shirt and pants in a mere two days. Nice stuff!

My thanks also to Lady Renee Buchanan and lys1022 for their RenMails, and to Queen Bonnie and SirRichard for their responses here. I'm feeling the love!

glad it all worked out but you can tell him kilts not be just for scots any more.  Many of our lads nae have a drop of scottish blood in them.  Just a liking to wear kilts, listen to the pipes, drinking and showing off.  Come by cottage and say hi any way always nice to meet new people.

If we don't chicken out on the weather, sir, we'll be sure to stop by for an "och, aye." I think he might be pliable. I will be dragging him to the Utilikilt shop in either case. ;)
