Prayer for my niece Rachel

I wish to thank all of you for your prayers and wishes for my niece Rachael.

The update on her... .  The laser treatments for her burns have been working wonders,and her hair is growing back, so that made her feel a bit better.

She had her 2nd surgery on her leg and things went bad from there, they put a cast on too soon for all those pins and the broken bones and the bone marrow was exposed for too long a time, infection set in and we are praying they can control it so she does not lose her leg.  She is not mentally handling this well at all.

Many thanks to all who have been posting pictures of faire, she wished she could go but could not, but she was able to be there via the pictures posted and her memory of "I was there"....."I know those people".... that did make her grin and smile for a bit.

I was just wondering the other day how Rachel was doing. I'm sorry it's not better news but I am hoping for the best, Ladyfair.

I'm glad the pictures could at least brighten her day.

Life just does not seem very fair sometimes. I'll  put a special effort into my prayers for her and pass the word along.

Tell Rachel I fully expect her to meet up with us at faire next season. if not BARF then hopefully MIRF!

Oh my goodness, that is a horrible thing to have happened. I will be lighting a candle for all those involved in this incident. I pray that what ever happened to the others they will be OK, and that she has a miraculous and speedy recovery.

Update on my niece....

She has had surgery #22 .... this will/was be the last one they said.  This surgery was to put in a cadaver bone in her leg, all the other surgeries  tried to repair the damage done to her most of those went fine, but the damage to the one bone in her lower leg was to bad and required the replacement of it.  The surgery went fine but she is running a fever which could mean the rejection by her body .... we are praying and she needs more in hopes to save her leg from amputation.

Thank you all for all you have done to this point, it is much appreciated.

PS....the jerk driving got only 5 years and is in a jail that is like a hotel... so much for our judicial system...... I guess money talks....

Rachel is obviously a very strong young lady, with a good support system. My thoughts and prayers are with her, and I have faith that she will continue to improve.

Not a day has gone by that I have not continued to pray for Rachel. Like so many others have said she is a very strong young lady and will pull through this. You and her both are still in my thoughts prayers.
