Forum rules will not allow me to express my true feelings for the naming of this weekend.  Seriously flawed marketing here.


I shall do my best to avoid anything remotely associated with this BS.  I will find and eat the fattiest foods and drink the alcoholiest alcohol!  That assumes I even attend this lame weekend...what a bunch a...

Wow... that's even dumber than the Latino weekend. Rumble? Doesn't that mean street brawling or wrestling? How does that evoke thoughts of Healthy Living? They have really lost  the theme this time. Just wow. :o

I think this is trademark and copyright infringement.  The event 'Royal Rumble' is owned by the largest sports entertainment corporation in the country, the WWE.  They could file suit against MAF in a heartbeat over this, and have been known to.  I would consider changing this.

Besides, I am not sure 'Royal Rumble' has anything to do with health & wellness.  And I'm not convinced fest even needs this weekend.  To not be hypocritical, they would need to shut down almost every food and beverage booth.

Maybe they're thinking of the rumble of feet during the 5 & 10 K??

I think I've mentioned elsewhere that I figure it's an attempt to widen their market as well as make better use of the space outside the fence where the Scottish groups and vendors set up on Highland weekend. I suspect they're going to rent space out there to various fitness type groups or vendors.
