Hey Jezzy -

Lost my father in April, so I know the kind of fear of losing them that you are talking about. He was almost 90, and I was very lucky to have him as long as I did. Spend every moment that you can with your mother, and be grateful for each and every one of them. They mean so much to her, and you will cherish them for the rest of your life.

Best wishes.

My deepest sympathies to you, M'Lady.  I certainly feel for you.  No matter that it's a normal part of life, it still is a very fearful thing, isn't it?  I was so paralyzed with fear all last year that I gave up my job on the road with the faires.  I wanted to be by her side as much as possible.  I'm glad for the time I did spend with her.  We talked about so much, until there really wasn't much left to say and we began getting on each other's nerves.  :)

She finally told me that she was going to be fine, that she was ready to go if it was the Lord's will, and nothing I did was going to stop it.  I realized that, but it was so hard to let go, so she made me mad.  *LOL*
I know she did it on purpose so I'd stop "babying" her.  I can't help it, I'm her oldest child and she's my only mom, and when you witness your mother having a heart attack right in front of you, you tend to get very clingy.

Anyway, I decided it was time for me to get on with my own life, and at about the same time, she got that job with my doctor.   My sister also works in the office, so, should anything happen to mom, I know she'll be in the best hands possible.  My staying here, watching the clock tick on won't prevent the inevitable.

I'm glad I have this life of my own to help me through this.  I'm sure having your M'Crack family and faire family helped you through the loss of your father.  I do look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you.  :)  I have a very special hug waiting for you, My Dear.

Jezzy, I'm so glad your mother is doing better! She sounds like an amazing, resilient woman, and from what I've seen of her daughter I have no doubt!

See you next month! ((HUG))

Dear Jezzy -

I will definitely look forward to that hug, and I will expect to get it in Kentucky on the 4th of July weekend (I believe that somewhere you said you would be working there, then). And I am so thrilled that your mother has found a way to feel productive, again. That, and knowing that you are going on with your life, will make her happy, which in turn, will help her live longer and better. I think you are very lucky to have each other. And when the time does come, you will be sad, but your will have so many happy memories that you will know that she will never be gone. She will be with you always.
