OK I know a few of you have been peeking before I was done uploading the photos to my pbase site. Well now you don't have to peek, they are all uploaded from week 5.

OH and before any of you decide to Blackmail the Chancellor for power, you had best do it in a way I get my title of Duchess as it was I who got the dirt and I'll make sure the King and Queen know that and you'll be losing your head  ;D

so you can either go to www.delaneyalysa.com and follow the links to get to the pbase site OR just go to www.pbase.com/delaneyalysa

Enjoy and feedback is once again always welcome

You're the best Delaney!   ;D  LOVE the one of Nelson Chen, that's amazing.
Taken out of context I must seem so strange.

Thank you :)

Yeah I couldn't let the one of Nelson slip. We were both snapping photos of each other and I thought it fitting we get one of him. he's a wonderful man as I actually got to chat with him a bit. I'd love to have his camera rigs as well but not now, maybe someday when I am a rich photographer LOL

Any idea if he's coming back for another weekend?  I'd love to butter him up by buying his ticket for him and then maybe he'll come to one of our shows.  Hehehe.  :D  His work is always amazing!

Have no idea.

I know Princess Alice contacted him the last time through his email and maybe his website. Might want to check there.

He's hoping to attend closing weekend, if his schedule allows.  But feel free to contact him through his Web site, I'm sure he'd love to hear from you!

I will do that, thanks!  He takes such great shots for everyone here ever year that he deserves to have his ticket paid for occasionally (the photo editing alone must take an ice age!).  Plus, we girls are suckers for photos, any photos.  Lord knows we'll need more good ones for the band website we're going to be building.  :D

So speaking of Mr. Chen, does anyone know when or where we can see the photos from this year? Are they already up and I just can't find them?

Normally it takes AT LEAST a week.  He has to edit all of them!

I hate waiting for his....they are always so classy.  I want a photo from this season for the forums but I haven't found one I like enough yet of just me.  The group shots are great but Mr. Chen did a couple of just me and I can't wait to see them!  <3

That's were I take the old school approach... little to no editiong. if I edit, it's to crop or lighten, but I never use photoshop or other software like it to alter my photos in a drastic manner. I appluad those who do edit there photos as that is an art in itself, but my view is, did Ansel Adams ever photoshop his photo's or alter them beyond cropping or such? My feeling is that way to many photographers today rely upon software to make things look good. heck just look at the modeling and acting industry.

Once again I appluad guys like Nelson as they are talented, so please don't take this post wrong.

The other thing about photography is it is always best when someone doesn't stare into the lens and ham it up and get all fake. The best photos taken are usually acting natural. it drives me crazy when you point a camera in someones direction and they start posing. Not to say I don't do this either, I do and there are times when the pose is good and natural, but usually it's done when your told exactly how or where to look and pose

I agree with you on this delaney, only time i adjust in photoshop is if its to dark or to light and that is about it. When i came back from england on the plane flight i did adjust all the pics i took but damn even for light adjusting took a while. Back in san diego they have a photagraphy museum in balboa park and i like the older ones where people had to wait on the exact light and stuff it was an artform now just take it into photoshop and there you go.

RenaissanceBarbie

I'm really bad about posing.  Faire has made me really good about noticing when people are taking a picture of me.  Helps in parade because I'll turn or adjust or whatnot, but it's bad otherwise as it's rare to catch me not posing.  :D  I'll try and be better when I see you again Delaney.

Capt Gabriela Fullpepper

It's not easy RB, I only pose when people stop me. if I see them taking a photo while walking I try not to focus on the lens. But if someone wants me to stop... then It's hard not to pose. I guess the best advice I can say is just pretend they don't have a camera. Glance at them, then look someplace off to the left or right or past them.
