This pistol is historically accurate, because it is a wheellock and wheellocks existed in the late 1500's to the early 1600s. Many have said, "What's with the boom stick? That's not accurate." But I say yes, if it was a flint-lock then you'd be right. Now I don't wear this evry day of faire, because I usually dress for that weekend's theme or dependent on the weather or how I feel about wearing all that especially after a long week of lifting tires for rotations or repairs. That armor though only mail and leather and gauge steel gets heavy.
I was going to ask if that was a wheellock when I saw the pix.  Where did you find that?  "Replica" or functional?

I'll have to see what I can dig up since I am usually the one behind the camera (and DH sucks at taking pictures).

Ouch!

Me in all my splendour.

Figured I'd scroll through the thread and see how many people in the thread I've managed to capture this year at MiRF.

The final tally....1.  And it's you, Pipere.  Really thought it would be higher than one.  I need to get busy.

I met Sealclubber last weekend his garb is something to behold, very quirky, but it does get people's attention. And Pipere, your garb is stunning in person. You were in character, so I didn't want to pull you away from that and introduce myself. I also attended the Queen's Tea, and it is quite a bit of different entertainment. A good laugh to be had, and the foods. Man, they are filling.
