Eric of Lyon

Anyone know the name of this group?  A friend of mine got a shot of them on the 27th and was wondering.  I don't recall seeing them during my visits this year.  (Or, do I?  We they down at Guiness II by any chance?)

I got some shots of them, too; and have absolutely no idea who they are.  When I saw them, I believe they were in the little square by the archery ranges.

Well, the little girl is Taylor. Her dad is a performer of some sort out at the faire and I think she just wanted something to do.

Lord Virgil

I think it's the Gutterpups, but don't quote me.  I know the guy with the long beard used to be with the Bawdy Boys and they had a nasty split, as duly noted in the new song "Mutiny" this band performed at Sunday's pub sing.

Nope that's not the Gutterpups.  I do believe they were called Stone Clover or something like that.  But the Gutterpups didn't preform this year...at least not as the Gutterpups.

Lord Virgil

I beleive you're right Flidais, I thought I had that wrong after posting it, but figured I'd leave it alone and someone would correct me.  I really like them too as they have a lot of energy and appear to be having fun, I should remember their name....Bad Virgil!

Indeed what a faboo band and yes TayTay aka Taylor the fiddler in question is Johnny Red's (Gutterpups) daughter hence perhaps the confusion. For those that recall Taylor and her brother KK aka Manoleeto aka Kadence have grown up at faire. Johnny and Amy have one more baby we will see grow up at faire and that is little Gabby!!!

Can't wait for the Stone Clover CD someday!! The photos you took would be excellent for the liner notes - get ahold of them

I didn't know Taylor was Manoleeto's sister. Too funny (there's a story there for another time).

Thank you, all! Didn't know all the names you mentioned were family members.  That's really cool.  Thanks, again!

So, Taylor's the sister of this guy...

These are from 2006.  Wondered what happened to him.  I thought he was a brother, son or (I had heard) nephew of Manoléte. He was hilarious.  Was putting on his own show towards the close of the day on Manoléte's stage.

Buzz cut, eh?  Need to go through this years photos.  The farm animals and birds that was next the Children's Realm is from Carousel Acres in South Lyon (which is where I live), and the owners are relatives of my neighbor.  Shot some photos of a kid there, who looked like he was working with the birds and the animals and I thought was from Carousel Acres and likely one of the nephews of my neighbor. (Kids start to look alike when you start reaching a certain age.) Ends up he wasn't.  He did look a little like Manolito minus the hair.  Same sort of costume except the pants were sort of wild looking, I recall.

Is everyone related there????????  This past season was my 29th going to the festival and I know so little about the workers and performers!
Fare thee Well.

Eric, I'll have to look through my pictures. He's a handsome young man now. His hair is short but not really buzzed. He's got lots of thick wavy hair. He'll be a real lady killer soon.
