Back home from Twig safely.  An awesome time was had.    ;D

The weather was strange but good.  Yes, good.  It was about 65 degrees with a slight breeze!  Perfect garb weather.  Loved that part.  We had a few random showers and a completely unnecesary "severe weather" scare.  Oh well.  No big deal.  Thankfully we had "WeatherMom.com" to fall back on (Goody's mom).  LOL

Sleepy's fop, Lord William (or Lord FP as I like to call him, :o) made a smashing debut.  He looked fabulous.  He produced lots of smiles as well as a few concerned looks by parents followed by drawing their children close.  Too funny.  He even managed to frighten a grown man when we were setting up for a family picture.  Sleepy was originally by the mom but I suggested that the picture would look more balanced if he was on the other side (next to the dad-who was totally freaked out!).  Wish you all could've seen his face when Lord FP sauntered over and snuggled in next to him.  Foptacular!!!  We'll never even see that picture since it was on their camera.

Thank you again Goody, for being our Northern Hostess with the Mostest!  You do take good care of us.  Hugs!

Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

We have returned safely too. The storms turned out to be sprinkles, had heavier showers on the way home. We had a great time, pictures should be up sometime this week. Thanks again Goody for helping set up our weekend.....  ;D

Thank you everyone for a great weekend! Wish there hadn't been the crazy weather scare but what can ya do! Let's hope for good weather for WIRF! Stayed til closing today and enjoyed a few more songs from the Dreg's. Am tired...and that's all I know!!! THANK YOU!!

I too am home now and tired... and get this... sunburnt on my face!  The one place I just slathered in sunscreen and I still burned.  Weird.  They let me cut out of my last shift early so I came home for supper.  I had a GREAT time.  I loved working the front gate, even though they scheduled me for more than I requested.  I saw lots of inspiring ideas for new and different garb and had many passes made at me by lots of different guys... which I handled sort of gracefully. I look forward to seeing you all another time this coming fall at MNRF but I do not know what weekend it will be yet (NOT Labor day weekend).

Finally home and unpacked!  Wow, what a weekend...filled 4 memory cards.   ;D

Twig just keeps getting better and better every year.  Had a great time camping and wandering faire with everyone.  Couldn't have asked for more perfect faire weather either.  Got to don some new garb of my own too.  Thanks again Goody for doing everything you do!

Thanks once again for hosting Goody!

Sorry we didn't say good-bye before heading out last night.  We headed back to camp thinking we'd get a nap in before the evening festivities and ended up deciding we'd all sleep so much better in our own beds for the night.

So nice to see everyone again and such a lovely way to start our fest season.  Look forward to seeing everyone again at WIRF!!!

What a great time we had Saturday at Twig. The weather was perfect. Not too hot but sunny with a nice breeeze at times. No rain. It seemed like a great crowd and it was a nice grounds.

Met and remet a few of you fine RF people and shared some scotch. Thanks whoever gave me the shot. Brought a couple bottles of Winehaven mead. They did have Jaybird mead and lake Superior Brewing Company beer

We stayed at my inlaws up by Chisholm. It rained quited a bit Saturday evening when we got back there. Hope it didn't hit the Faire as hard.
Would have liked to have stopped in again as we drove by on the way back to the Cities Sunday but needed to get back.

Took some pictures will try to post a few. The wife and I wore our new Catskill moccasins. Felt nice breaking them in. Forgot my Breeches but luckily my pajama bottoms worked just fine.

Will return next year for sure.

I totally forgot to thank Goody for getting me the working gig.  Front gate was too much fun!  I got to vent some goofy energy and interact more with lots of the staff and volunteers.  I"m tellin' y'all now... if you wanna come and check out KCRF... call me and we'll find a weekend in October to do it... shoot for mid October towards the end though... KC can be VERY hot in September.  We lucked out at Twig this year with the gorgeous weather.

I may not be down in the Twin Cities now until next Monday... parents want to make plans for this weekend.  I'll have to see what the week brings.

did anyone ever find the news footage that the camera crew shot during the dreg-along?
I looked a little but couldn't find it.

Alison - Not Caterina Anymore

It was for the 10 o clock news on the local news station (channel 6). I watched it. There was no sound when they showed the Dregs and it was a short clip. They had a clip of me too, and I had no idea they were even taping.

Alison - Not Caterina Anymore

Yup, that was it, although they had a few more clips in the beginning of the news cast that weren't part of that video.
