Passing of one of our own.

Dearest all - It's hard to have to have all of you see it here, but FB and the groups are going to be the easiest way to let everyone know.  There is
no true way to cushion the blow, so I'll just be my usual Capt. Marga self.

Christopher (Curran), my husband, passed away this morning.  He died at work, possibly from a seizure or heart attack related to such.  The Med. Ex is doing an autopsy to be sure, and then he will be cremated.  I have given permission for whichever of his organs/tissues to be donated for use wherever possible.

Instead of flowers, please make a donation to RESCU or to St Jude's Childrens hospital, or the charity of your choice.

A memorial for family will be held soon, and we'll remember him at Faire later.

I'll be watching emails, and will accept phone calls, but please remember I'm going to be busy taking care of paperwork/medical issues for a while.  I DO have someone here with me, and Capt Marga is in charge at the moment.  Don't worry, I've eaten, I've cried, and I've priv'd.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  I pray that you find the strength to get through all that you are going to have to endure and that God grants you peace as the days go by.  When I hear of a loved one's passing, I always thing of my father.  In his heart, he was a Viking, and like the Norse, he believed that the soul was a sea gull that, quite by accident, found its way through an open window in a mead hall where a huge feast was taking place.  That was life.  Then, after a time, the gull stumbles upon the window again and flies back out into the sky.  That's death.  Hence, I never think of my father as gone; I think of him as free.  My dad has been free for fourteen years now.  As the months and years have passed, I don't think of him less but I think more and more of the good times, the fun times, and the funny things that happened (canoeing down a creek in the pouring rain, knowing we are going to have to find a place to beach and set up camp in the rain and sleep in the rain, my old man shouts out as loud as he can - "YAH-TAH-HEY!"  I don't think I've ever laughed so hard).
